Still working on the Footbridges so can have the stairs go either direction.

The reverse stairs are 2x1 tiles. Will try overlaps soon as only be 6 pixel overlaps .. with luck they might not glitch.

The non-track tiles along the platforms has a new fence design.

Once I get these how I want with the Gravel Platforms will make them for other platform designs.

Sydney still being build.

Cheers

Can let you have a try of the footbridges I been working on.

All new projects from now on will construction still taking place will put them in this file called AuzStations_Tests.

After I have finished them and all test ok, will transfer them into another file that will be available to go on Bananas.

These footbridges probably be transferred into AUzStations_Part2 to replace the old style bridges in that set.

If you find any graphics errors or have a idea of your own please let me know.

You should be able to make any combination of stairs for Single Sided, Island and Waypoints. Have not done any for Normal platforms as yet.

If any one want the source to any thing I make please ask as happy let you have a copy.

Making some Waypoint Culverts.

Hope make some for rivers, creeks, the swamps as in pic, and also dried flood ways.

Just the roof of the brick culvert looks odd. Wonder if these would have been concrete roof and just the bricks around the facing?

Cheers

Hi all,

Found a few little mistakes in what I done. The footbridges in "AuzStationsAndNonTracks" some meant to be a bit more modern for the city stations. But rather than change what I done, I will make another set for the city platforms and add these to "AuzStationsMoreAddOns"

The footbridges in Footbridge (Non-Track) in "AuzStationsMoreAddOns" could have ben placed with the Footbridge Island Platforms.

If you see any thing that could be improved please let me know.

Please remember these replace all previous Station sets I done in the past.

If any one wants the source let me know and send to you, but it a large file .. all the sprites are in one GRX folder and equals 27.4 MB So can send the lot or maybe you just like a certain sprite.

Cheers

Will there be a screenshot showcasing each element? Personally I've lost track of what's what in such a large set.

Lets see what I can show n images to try explain what in all the sets.

AuzStationsPlatforms:

This is all platforms.
AuzStationsPlatforms.png
AuzStationsPlatforms.png (132.53 KiB) Viewed 5404 times
There are 5 types.

From left to right:

Gravel Platform (also known as Cracker Dust) .. This I believe how platforms was first made in Australia in city and country. Some smaller country stations still have this type of platform surface.

Bitumen and Gravel platforms .. the gravel was making a mess sticking to peoples shoes and being walked into carriages and buildings so Bitumen was added to half of the platforms. Some stations still have this type of surface in country areas.

Bitumen ,. busier stations in the country and city had bitumen laid full width of platforms.

Bitumen with white lines .. the white lines was introduced during World War II so platform edge could be seen better in the dark. And not it is standard in all city stations and some major country stations.

Tile Platforms .. Some major city statons platforms have been resurfaced with tiles instead of the bitumen.

The are no concrete platforms in my sets as other people sets have these covered.

All my Platform sets have ramps at each end, some have seats, luggage trolleys, different types of awnings and flowers. There is also a employees walkway to cross between platforms.

(After typing this information maybe I have my platforms named wrong .. instead of Country and City Platforms, I think they only need what I shown above .. might change this before I release them on Bananas).

AuzStationsAndNonTracks

This set has no platform pieces except those part of footbridges and buffer stops.

Here you will find station buildings of various sizes, footbridges, buffer Stops and non-track tiles.
NewFootbridge-4.png
NewFootbridge-4.png (43.45 KiB) Viewed 5404 times
The footbridges for single sided platforms are different to how they was before. Bit more realistic .. the stairs are actually part of a non-track tile that puts the stairs to the side of the platform instead of on the platforms like in real. Normal platforms have not been altered.

Hope this information is what players wanted.

I'll do the rest if required like this too .

AuzStationAddOns
====================

This set replaced AuzStations Part 3.

Catenary Platforms.
Catenary Platforms-1.png
Catenary Platforms-1.png (29.95 KiB) Viewed 5336 times
The first platform in image is the normal platforms that come as default with the game and it has catenary poles along the platform edge near the tracks.

To make stations look a bit better I disabled these catenary poles in all the platforms in the first set "AuzStationPlatforms" as can be seen in Image of the middle platform.

The platform to the right is the catenary Platforms with the catenary poles where they suppose to be away from the platform edge. I made these for the City Platforms.

Suburban Stations, Platforms and Catenary.

All my stations and platforms are all designed on what I seen in my State New South Wales, Australia. Unfortunately many older stations in the Sydney and Newcastle Suburban area are being replaced by stations imilar to this image.
Suburban Platforms-2.png
Suburban Platforms-2.png (77.56 KiB) Viewed 5336 times
With the subuarban set I made there are two menus,
"AuzStations: Catenary Suburban Platforms" which has the catenary poles and another set called "AuzStations: Suburban Stations and Platforms" which is in "AuzStationsMoreAddOns" (Sorry they in 2 different files, but ran out of room to include them all together).

You can make this set with or without the Catenary.

Some other items you will find in this set:
StationAddOns-3.png
StationAddOns-3.png (99.12 KiB) Viewed 5336 times
Far left is overlap platforms. This allows placing of switchers within the platforms as shown. The platforms SW and NE are 2 different platforms so can also have 2 trains stopping at what appears to be the same platform.

Next are shown some subway stairs that been added to the platforms and non-track tiles. Could not put these with the AuzStationsPlatform set as no room left to add any more.

To the right is experimental Terminal Station. This will also be part of the Sydney Railway Station I been working on for some time.

My idea is to make like a terminal station with a loco run-around road down the middle. But still need to make some overlap platforms for this. Hope to make them and add to this before I release it on Bananas.

AuzStationsMoreAddOns

This set has Suburban Stations and Platforms to go with those in the set in post just above this one.

Has some more Non-Track Tiles, modern footbridges that go at the end of the platforms, some island platforms but with platform one side only.
Trying to make them look like in this image of Thornton Railway Station, located between Newcastle and Maitland.
Thornton_0476.png

Also find some platforms with car parks above. These being made for subway (underground) stations, To cover the tracks leading up to the underground station I making some overlapping object sets.

At the moment, it looks like a convenient division by type of all existing types of stations. What types will continue to be replenished? What are your plans for further development? Tell us about what else you have planned for us in the future :D  .

For me it is the best set of railway stations at the present time. Became more active to apply it in the games on different maps. All these stations I really like to use with xUSSR Railway Set :D .

Thanks STD,

Most of my ideas are spur of the moment. I go train travelling and visit different stations to get ideas.

Work still to finish:

I got a lot to get finished but find concentrating lately on the same subject for a period of time hard for me to do.

I have the Underground station over heads to finish.

Started to make some multi story car parks as non-track tiles so they can be placed near stations, airports and bus stops.
Multistory Car Park-1.png
Multistory Car Park-1.png (6.05 KiB) Viewed 5244 times
I hope to make it cargo aware .. still need to design the road up each level.

Like to try design other non-track tiles that will also suit stations, airports, bus stops and truck loading bays. So if any one has a few ideas let me know. Some things I thought of making as non-tracks are the shops I made as object sets and maybe making some office buildings.

All those stations in "AuzStationAndNonTrack" (the old AuzStations Part 2) been thinking to join them like the actual stations I designed them from which means they be 2,3 or 4 tiles long. This would make a lot more IDs spare and allow me to make some others. But design them so can add platforms to either end for those who like longer platforms.
A bit like this.
CountryStation.png
CountryStation.png (14.27 KiB) Viewed 5244 times
This would clear up 2 IDs so can add 2 different types. Nearly all my stations are country stations. I like to make some city ones, but running out of room unless I make a new file. What do players thing if I did it this way .. join those station buildings with platforms and awning, but allow then so you can still add to them with platforms and footbridges.

I should be able to make a bigger variety without making new files.

Need some buildings that factories would use to receive and send cargos from to be placed next to Industries as part of station sets.

Some of the railway stations I visited to day getting photos. Seen a few things I haven't added to platforms yet. Like a red sign at end of platforms warning passengers not to proceed beyond this point. Garbage bins to go next to platform seats. Platform numbers place on lamp posts just to name a few idea.

There are more ideas but keeping them to myself for the moment as not sure if I can make them.

Cheers

Good luck to you in the further development of railway stations and various buildings and structures for them :D .
And ideas can be a lot different to train stations - different warehouses, extensions to buildings, cranes, parking, add more cargo platforms with different functions (which is in Australia), make some new types of passenger platforms from existing in your country - kiosks, pavilions, the different signs, scoreboard schedules and more. Something like that. In general, I will be interested to see everything that you add to the Australian sets of railway stations.

A bit more information what you will find in the Auz Sets.

AuzMoreFreightStations

This used to be called "AuzWaypointsAndMoreFreightStationsV4" but had to split them up as running out of room and wanted to keep as much of the same in same files where possible.

This set has

AuzStations: Infrastucture .. this has some non-track station and some platforms that consist of Employee Houses, Trees, water tanks and water columns for the steam loco, signal boxes and Signs that often are seen at stations in my country that can be placed at the end of platforms.

There are some cargo aware tiles for containers. As shown in this image. There are both platform and non-track cargo aware tiles and you will slow find those container crances in this set. (The Container Terminal Industry is from my AizInd sets).
Container Crane1.png
Container Crane1.png (574.31 KiB) Viewed 5175 times
I read in some forums that the depots are small compared to the long trains that go it them for servicing. So I ad some Loco Depots that will overlap and hide the depot and can make the depot as long and as wide as you like.
This depot for instance.
EMU and DMU Sheds4.png
EMU and DMU Sheds4.png (33.03 KiB) Viewed 5175 times
Is now hidden under these buildings.
EMU and DMU Sheds5.png

You will find a variety of depot types and will cover (I hope) what ever depot type you use.

Can only put 3 images here so show more next post.
