I have to admit I wouldn't mind the eGRVTS trucks in American Style even if the stats are the same

Zephyris:
I know you are busy creating 32bpp for eGRVTS, but once that's finished, would you create constantly running sound (like NARS) for eGRVTS? The sound on NARS imporoves the set greatly, and I think it would to the same for eGRVTS.

Nah, Im fine with out running sounds for road vehicles, since they'ed be everywhere and constantly going :\

When you talk about it that way, it doesn't make sense, your right, but when you consider that on the open road between stops (especially with the 32 bpp full zoom now) it is completely quiet unless there is a breakdown, I think constant sound makes sense.

Trucks carry wool in company colour boxes. After corner trucks carry wool in black - yellow boxes.

Right, that's better, pictures don't explain what words can - yes, a picture says a thousand words, but words are better when it comes to reporting bugs...

Looks like the toyland battery truck and generic flatbed cargo series are a bit muddled...

Hey Zephyris,
Would you mind if I took a shot at updating the HP and TE for the horses in eGRVTS? I know you're busy with the 32bpp versions. What I'd like to do is use the new grf tools to decompile eGRVTS, then tweak the HP and TE of the horse-drawn vehicles so that they're usable with realistic RV acceleration. I might have to go as high as 10 hp per horse- not as strange as it might sound since historically a 3-horse team would do the same work as a 35 hp tractor. Average TE for a 3-horse team is 500 pounds or about .75 KN.
If I get a test GRF working, you would have to approve it before it got released, of course.

If you want to add settings for realistic accelaration please go ahead, IIRC none of the vehicles have any realistic accelaration settings...

Thanks! I'm really working on this- I have eGRVTS decoded in grf2html, and I am studying the wiki on the realistic RV acceleration settings.
Shouldn't be too difficult, if I can figure out where to add the lines of code to the nfo.

Action 0s can go anywhere, action 7s notwithstanding. If you know the vehicle IDs (do you have a list for us, Zephyris?), it's probably easiest just to add the new properties at the end of the nfo. A better option might even be to create a separate grf with an appropriate
GRF ID override and the new action 0s in it.

If I remember the grf layout correctly then all the lines of code (the action0s) you will be interested in are grouped at the start of the grf...
*edit*
Yup sprites 3 to 251 are the action0s.

And here's an example action 0, using the horsepower values from that xls.

You'd just need 3 more action 0s with the tractive effort, weight and top speed.

trucks appear to carry lumber in boxes?

eGRVTS only has sprites for the default cargos. Lumber is defined as piece goods therefore eGRVTS falls back onto the default piece goods graphics for the articulated vehicles; boxy/barrely things. I could add support for more cargo graphics but I would rapidly end up with thousands of sprites so it is not much of a priority...

Maybe the lumber is transported in boxes made of lumber

If you did update it, you could just use the covered goods truck sprites. That's my approach to cargos that are I haven't supported / can't be bothered to draw
