Nope...
btw, I realised as I updated the wiki that it's one year since the initial release of NARS2. How time does fly...

Hello Pikka
We already talked about it on #openttd, it would be nice, if you would upload the old NARS to BaNaNaS, so we can remove NARS completely.
As it has a own ID, it isn't just an other version, therefor you need make a new entry on the content system, but you could then hide it with defining max version to something like 0.6, so it is only available with a save having it on the list.
This is just to remember you.

I remember Pikka. He’s that guy who’s made great artwork for Locomotion and TTD. Tip: ‘remember’ is not the same as ‘remind’.

Petert suggested I post my problem here rather than as a new topic in problems, although I dont know whether it is a NARS or ECS problem.
I tried using the latest NARS2.03 (august2009) in an Alpine climate scenario, with the latest ECS wood vector (B5).
I noticed that there are two duplicate cargo types called paper. I am not using any other ECS vector.
I seem to remember this occurred before with earlier versions, and only one of them was really paper, I dont know what the other was really. Have I done something incorrect, or is there a bug?

That would be Alpine and ECS conflicting, nothing to do with NARS.

Hey, could the next release have it so that after 1975 the caboose turns into a fred so you can do the push pull thing, as I think that trains just flipping isn't very realistic, amongst a few other things. also any way to have the exhuast always appear like steam but not such a long trail?

No. What makes you think a FRED means a half-mile-long train can be driven from the back, or that this would be technically possible in TTD?

Just stick another locomotive on the back end and use ctrl-click in depot to get it facing the correct direction. Call it a helper/banker before 2000 and distributed power (DP) after.
If you really don't like trains flipping, just change the "trains reverse" setting to "at end of line only", build wye tracks, put waypoints on the legs of the wyes, and that will be much more realistic. Or use a "go to depot" order to simulate the train turning in a yard.

Um, Pikka, Im finding lately in openttd that when using NARS2.3 with UKRS 3.04 Under the Sun that the trains are quite a bit cheaper then they should, but the wagons are sometimes even more expensive then the trains them selves, especially the tankers and hoppers.
This screen shot here is in 1955
I have to use the 2cc Set 1.01 with the first parameter set to 8 or 7 to make the prices right, making the locos expensive but the wagons not, unlike in this screen shot.

Don't use NARS2.03 with UKRS 3.04 (or the 2cc set, or any other set that it's not designed to work with).

Why not? it was fine before, Im not sure if it was 2.03 that did it or the recent openttd stables or nightlies

Well it's possible you've changed the order of the grfs, so now the NARS costs are wrong instead of the UKRS costs being wrong.

Nope, I always order my lists alphabetically, but, maybe your right, ill see what happens if i put UKRS in front of NARS
Edit : Nope, nothing, still the same

Okay, well, the problem is caused by different base costs. You're not going to be able to fix it.
