I see that you've used the proper ICM as a model. I like the interior of the refurbished ones a lot, but they really should have left the walk-through heads in. :P

Your model looks very good, very detailed as well too. Good job!

I think you're the only one who thinks that. The old seats were way more comfortable, the new ones almost feel like those Ariva GTW seats :P

Very, very nice :) it looks absolutely superb. There is one thing though, I think the wagons are too long compared to their width, TTD has a weird scale and I think these will come out quite odd when put in-game.

That applies for all NS trains modernised over the recent years. :(

Well, at least I can fit my notebook on the tray tables. On the old tables I couldn't even fit a medium sized portion of fries, let alone a 17" notebook. Besides, I like the coach setup of seats a lot better, especially if it's crowded, since the seats opposite of pretty girls are usually already taken. And then I usually find myself opposite of some angry mudsucker since that's the only seat available.

Wait a minute...Don't fool me here! I was talking about the interior, not about the comfortability of the seats. The seats in the old version are indeed very comfortable, but the seats in the refurbished version aren't that bad either. Hey, even the Arriva GTW seats are comfortable! If you bring your own pillow, that is :P

Compare Plan T refurbished seats to original seats (or current Plan V seats). Apart from that you don't have any legroom in the Plan T nowadays, the seats are pretty good.

On the other hand, I travelled first class in a modernised spriter a few weeks ago. Well, first class in those things is EXACTLY the same as second, apart from a different seat colour. It was just as crowded in first as in second and the seats were just as terrible in first as in second. Fortunately, soon enough I had to change trains and could take place in a very comfortable ICM (yes, the old one), ofcourse again first class, with the curtains and all :P

Hello to all. I have been lurking for a few weeks trough the forum so i think its time i try to help with the development. Since you probably already took a look at the picture please note that this was my first attempt with blender. It was done in a few hours work and is far from finished. Hopefully with a few details on the roof and around the building and textures it will look a lot nicer. I would appreciate any kind of constructive comments so please do NOT be gentle :) I tried to search and browse trough the topics but as far as i know this picture is free, if someone already took it as a project i will try something else.

Welcome to TT-forums (and congrats for a contributive first post) :)

The model is certainly a good start, but:
1) The overlaps on roofs are too high (if you don't plan to put some sort of restaurant or so on the rectangle roof section, then it would act as railing). Real flat roofs have such overlaps 20 centimeters high or so.
2) Add some details (mainly to roofs)

And that's all for now :)

PS: Don't forget construction stages must be done too ;)

I know about the roof, i plan to put maybe some solar panels there and some other details. I was confused about the original painting, it looked like there was a pool on top so i went with a higher railing but i will shorten it and place something else on top. Maybe satellite dish, radio antennas or something similar

Thank you for the comments

A small update to show the progress made and the directions taken..
still needs polishing though and when that is done, ill take on the building stages

PS.

We need 3 images for the stages right? The first, midpoint and final stages, or do we need more?

Really nice :D , but why are the solar panels aligned to different directions? If the panels are rotatable: Either the sun is currently in the east or it is in the south east, not both. And if the panels are not rotatable, then they should also *both* be aligned to one direction - namely that direction from where the sun dos shine mostly.

Point taken, the panels will be aligned in the same direction in the polishing part

Also you might consider darken the solar panels. Actually, they shold be nearly black... Great work by the way !

As for the lights I though about the blinking ones on the landing zone.
btw is the grass available somwhere? I could use it here to be consistent.

This heliport is awesome, but the base is too big, It must have 256 pixels wide. The tower has a good size.

Yes, this building has 3 stages.

I have tried to complete this unfinished model:
https://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=670788#p670788
Image

I added some textures (without changing shapes), and some grass (this was with GIMP). If You like, I can upload my blend file.

I have used these two textures:
Concrete:
https://www.cgtextures.com/texview2.php? ... 241ea4023c (tiled version)
Gravel:
https://www.cgtextures.com/texview2.php? ... 241ea4023c

I prefer to cut models with GIMP, Blender is too difficult for me.

Is it just me or is the tiling on the roof abit off? And the texture on the bottom left side of the building.

I agrree with Sapphire, roof could use better texture. And the windows are a bit too reflecive (when compared with other models).
