What are the preferred dimensions for a Fullzoom NewGrf (highest zoom level)?
Sow I can compare how that will look like.

what you want to make is a .tar with a grf included, this allowes you to add the train without replacing an original train while being able to hjave 32bpp graphics, you have 8bpp version for the grf to aloow you to add an extra train, you then create corosponding full zoom sprites which is placed instead of the 8bpp graphics when the 32bpp bliter is enabled, or somthing like that, i pretty sure thats how it would work but i may be wrong. included my train to show you the size, it is the max length the game can take atm in the version 10 of the full zoom patch but the short one is the max size the game can take with the v9 of the patch which is the most used version

ps train is almost finished rendering, few more views to go, so it will be ready for coding soon

Yes, I meant 32bpp - Full Zoom graphics in stead of 8bpp newgrfs

bazil14: I don't know what your screen settings are, but to me your train looks very very dark. You can also see that by comparing with other 32bpp trains found in the wiki..

That's good news indeed, haven't seen you around for a while. Yeah, the engine looks sort of dark, but I wouldn't change that until I've seen the finished version in the game. You are using 3dsmax, right? Maybe the lighting is a bit diffferent in the Blender template (though it shouldn't be)?

nope i use blender, i think the body of the train has its spec set to low, attached is all finished sprites so you can see its current status

House is OK now. Just a small adjustment is needed on the roof. Only thing that doesn't look nice is the fence around the house. It is green color. This means vegetation. If I am right, then it is very blocky, with sharp dark edges and bad skin. May need some pixel tweaking.

Well done! I hope no one will pop up asking for 512x512 or 1024x1024 tiles.

Hmm.. I was wondering if someone has made the city airports yet... So I started with runway..
This is one sprite. Might need to add some runway lamps there too though

Ok.. it seems I need to mirror the images, because they head wrong direction

. But I'm currently working on making the grass thingie too and getting it working.. But as my computer is terribly slow, you need to wait a bit

EDIT: A small preview of my work done for now...

Nice airport asphalt, but may I suggest tyre marks for the white painted end tiles?
