You know what would be great? If you could select part of the screen to make screenshots of only the interesting parts from within ottd...

Well, in a way, you can. Just switch to windowed mode, and resize the window to only show the interesting stuff.

Sure, anyone can. Usually we meet in IRC first (#purno at quakenet), but you can find any server via the "Find Server" button, just be sure you have the correct version.

But make sure you take the screenshot from within OpenTTD, and don't take a screenshot of the window, as many people do, as that ends up in 24-bit, which can be significantly larger in filesize than the 8-bit TTD palette you have when you take a screenshot in-game.

Should we also add the whole slew of Photoshop Filters to OpenTTD then? ;) . You can resize the window, or use and graphics program (even MSPaint does the job) and crop your image. How do you think the guys over at the TTDPatch screenshot thread are doing it (excluding the fullscreen screenshots)?

I dont mind having them as links. if they were embedded pictures, then it would take some time & memory to load even only one page of the thread. As links i just open them as new tabs in the background, and can watch only those i really want.

Moreover interresting pictures ( with detail ) are usually large pictures, by def. IMHO

Alright, in future when I am taking a shot of a small are to view I will shift to a 640x480 window. And I will look at adding the ability to take screen shots within extra views.

Can we expect this feature in 0.4.0 or sooner? ;)

Sweeeet junction.

Alltroght I found some dublications, that does not make sense. Note that it is just the yellow and green path that does not make sense, but most of the traks they go on make sense.

nice junction indeed, but one minor question: 'why is there a little Loc. at the right side of the screen (at the trees)?'

the green line on that pic is never taken buy any train :).

but the yellow and red are taken buy different trains depending on if there destonation is north west or south east.

its a food train, just the food carriages are hidden buy the train :).
or if you mean buy the one in the tunnel that is a empty paper train. most of my trains are 6 long (3 squares) apart from the long distance grain and livestock ones.

hey here are some images showing the growth of one of my towns between 1965 and 1976:

Very impressive!

Just idea for devs: It is bad that town can grow and grow infinited with 5 stations in the middle... My idea: One catchement (and not duplicated) tile in the city area (excluding roads, grass, water, including station tiles) can incerase max town population by 10
Base town max population would be 2000,

so city with two stations with 11x11 catchement can have max population of 2000 (base) + 1210 (1st station) + 1210 (2nd station) = 4420
I think this would be realistic, it would also keep players from building stations near city borders

Just for realism. What do you think about that?
