Horses sound corrected (I hope, have no sound card

in version 1.8, I also added new steam locomotive, "Riesa" Bt.

New version released.
Battery locomotive added (this locomotive together with minecarts never expire).
There is also universal dual gauge track available, now it is easy to autoreplace narrow gauge trains to normal ones, or to share station platform etc. Universal track is slightly cheaper than normal one, but speed is limited to 60 kmph.

Great work on the dual track!
It get a bit annoying that renewing then allow for all standard gauge to be fitten in, but this is how OpenTTD deal with renewing.
I like the battery-powered train, it's a great idea.
If you still plan to develop things for your track, then in the same vein of "industrial fireproof machine" you could have a fireless steam locomotive released around the 1880's? It would fit in the "small industrial" theme of that line.

I think your talking about a Fireless Locomotive

Hello there!
I really like this set, but I've found two minor issues. One is a graphical thing, the other is something weird regarding cargo that happens when using FIRS 3 Steeltown, though I don't know if it happens with other industry sets.
As you can see in the image, the marked locomotives seem to be off the tracks a bit when compared to the carriages and other locomotives.
Meanwhile, the Stock Cars can for some reason carry passengers. Why is that?
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know about these minor things so they could be fixed if they are actually unintended. They're not game-breaking but they seem unintended to me. Keep up the good work!

Maybe some people deserve to be treated like livestock and transported as such

New version 2.2 was uploaded to bananas.
German translation added.
Infrastructure costs fixed, they are now configurable.
Some railway stock derailments fixed, thanks Darthrafael for spotting this.
Livestock van can carry passenger, because it was common to use box car for passengers, even at normal track (it was called "4th class passenger coaches' - just box car with benches and stove).

True .. and also during the War Years they transported soldiers is stock wagons and box cars due to the shortage of Passenger carriages.
Really like this narrow gauge set. Some places in Australia had narrow gauge (mostly trams) connecting with main line train services.
Cheers

I like to put my tuppence worth comment in , yes boxcars were and still do transport passengers , they were widely used in the war years as troop carriers , and POW carriers , on a sadder note they were also used to transport people to there death .

On a lighter note , they also transport felines .

Keep up the development of the grf , We here in the UK have some fantastic narrow gauge ,I would love to see a UK set , as said keep up the work ,look forward to seeing more from this set .

Small update 2.3, I tweaked some parameters:
* carriages weight was decreased, some locomotives have higher power/TE,
* running cost of freight carriages is nullified (passenger carriages still have running costs, but you have revenue in both directions, no problem on slopes etc).
* cargo ageing time is increased, to compensate slow speed (hope it would fix transfer income estimations).

Too bad you don't plan to make electric 600mm railways. I feel like that Dynamo Express or Ishizuchi trams are missing or somewhat.

Main assumption of this set was, that cheap but weak narrow gauge are to replace either by normal gauge or road vehicles - similar to maglev replacement of standard track in original game.
Because such features seems to be annoying, I decided to add some powerful locomotive.
I choose you, Henningdsorf EL3!
620 kW ought to be enough for anybody.
This locomotive doesn't expire, I also removed expiration of flat cars and gondolas.
Of course, one need to put catenary over his narrow gauge track, and dual gauge track remain unelectrfied.
There is newgrf setting to disable electric traction.
Enjoy version 2.4.

This is a very nice companion NewGRF for HEQS! Largely self-contained railway networks were fairly common in East German open pit mines, and the EL 3 will make it less of a hassle to recreate one of those. The tram road type just isn't as flexible as I'd like sometimes.
Kind Regards,
The Axe

I kind of like that this set expires...
Though it's true that some field railways etc exist to this day.

Yup. We have very few remaining in France but we still have a few.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching videos of industrial/field railways on YouTube. This is perhaps my all-time favourite
