SBB-CFF-FFS Set (Swiss Trains) v1.0e (7/6/2015)

Re: SBB-CFF-FFS Set (Swiss Trains) v1.0a (25/9/2014)
A few tiny bugs here and there are waiting to be fixed, but the release will still take a week or two.
@WLK: I am sorry, but at the moment I have no plans to include any more diesels in the SBB Set. Switzerland is almost fully electrified and the diesels only fill very minor roles and tasks that cannot be very well modelled in the game. The Am 840 is an interesting locomotive (for a modern design at least), but as far as I understand, the SBB only use them in Italy at this point, not for branch line freight.
@Rollmaterial: I agree that is a very nice livery. I will definitely consider it. I will not add it as part of a small bugfix release though, since that would break compatibility with current versions of the set.
In the meantime, Michael Blunck has released a German version of the pdf guide for this set, available from the German TT-Forums:

Hi dandan,
Fantastic work, a really refreshing and fun set to use and play with, really enjoying having a play around with this and the amount of different features and options available are great.
Also, a quick shoutout too about the readme file, very well put together and certainly an interesting read, will be studying this many times whilst playing to ensure I get the best gameplay out of the set!
Keep up the great work!
Steve

Version 1.0b has been released, with a number of small changes and bugfixes.
The issue with autoreplace for vehicles with baggage compartments that has been reported above could not be solved, unfortunately, since it is due to limitations in the autoreplace feature.

The Lok 2000 is sometimes shown with IC doubledecker driving trailer graphics driving N or NW - but I'm not supposed to post this since I've replaced the GRF in-game, so perhaps it's not a real bug.
Re: SBB-CFF-FFS Set (Swiss Trains) v1.0b (10/11/2014)
@MJS: That does not sound good. Could you post or send me a savegame? Otherwise, can you be more specific on how to reproduce this problem? Does it also happen with a newly bought train in your game?
Re: SBB-CFF-FFS Set (Swiss Trains) v1.0c (17/2/2015)
Version 1.0c has been uploaded (first post updated).

Has a decision been made regarding the autoreplace issue?
Re: SBB-CFF-FFS Set (Swiss Trains) v1.0c (17/2/2015)
Not so much a decision, but it has been clearly determined that there is very little I can do, other than getting rid of all vehicles that carry both passengers and mail. That is not something I want to do at the moment. The autoreplace feature in OpenTTD would have to be improved. But that would not be so straightforward and I failed to convince the devs that it would even be worthwhile.

Small glitch: I noticed that the tank engines (E3/3 Tigerli and Eb3/5 Habersack) go backwards when reaching a terminus. But when they do so, the steam comes out from the cab.

ill look at those aswell. I may remove this from my CCS set if it's terrible.arikover wrote:Small glitch: I noticed that the tank engines (E3/3 Tigerli and Eb3/5 Habersack) go backwards when reaching a terminus. But when they do so, the steam comes out from the cab.
Edit: Just noticed that bug it's small and hardly noticable but breaks the function looks of those engines

Thank you both for the bug reports. Will get fixed in the next release.arikover wrote:Small glitch: I noticed that the tank engines (E3/3 Tigerli and Eb3/5 Habersack) go backwards when reaching a terminus. But when they do so, the steam comes out from the cab.

this thread lacks some irony

Re: SBB-CFF-FFS Set (Swiss Trains) v1.0c (17/2/2015)
Well, well... I am gone a few days and behold all the fun I have missed in the meantime.
Now, I have a moderate list of small updates and fixes that should go into the next version. Will probably still take a few weeks, as I have very little time at the moment.
If anyone notices any more glitches, please post them here or on the bugtracker.

Well do to people considering it's a dead trainset and you just stated you have little time. I am beginning to think posting anymore bugs or glitches would be rather pointless. If you could find someone to take over this project and perhaps have more time to do it that would be greatdandan wrote:Well, well...
