Nice!
Regarding the sextant, could you also do a version on a flat concrete tile? (I could do it myself, but you probably have the sextant as a seperate layer in Photoshop, saves me some copypaste work) ;-)

alste.

Got all 3? Sextant, KNLS 1e klasse & HESM 1?

I kinda like those \/ shaped CTAs more than the boxy ones.
Are there graphics around for that one?
Not yet I guess. Any volunteers?

Found a bug, Nontrack tiles, like the empty flat platforms, show centenary when built as electric track, I think some station buildings do this too.

That is intended behaviour of the empty flat and high platforms. So that when you have buffers next to them, the catenary goes on to the next track.
Like this, for a doublesided terminus station:

This sometimes looks better than having the catenary cut off in the middle.
However, only those tiles should have that behaviour. All other non-track tiles without platform graphics (the ones with flat concrete as base tile), should not have that. Thanks for reporting, because I now also spotted some that do that. I'll doublecheck all non-track tiles, will be fixed.

Furthermore, I have been fiddeling with the sextant. It didn't feel right. 1 is ths's original one, 2 is my alteration. What are your thoughts?

EDIT:
I've looked into the problem with catenary appearing where it shouldn't. And it looks like a bug in the game itself. When you place a non-track tile that is diagonal to the track it is placed next to, a pylon sometimes appears:
see here (different stationsets used):

@jor[D]1, would you mind reporting this on the Openttd bugtracker?
Only workaround I can think of now is to only use non-electrified rails when building non-track stations.

The perspective looks a bit off on both, might indeed be an impossible shape.

Is is possible to detect what kind of a station is build on adjacent tiles? So that, when you build stairs with roofs on both sides, you can make those stairs also be roofed.

Well, I feel that my alteration just fits in a tiny bit better:

No idea, but I don't really feel like finding that out ;-)
I get your point, but it is above my current codingskills.

You mean it's not supposed to be a hexagon? Damn it I’ve been fiddling around with that one for half the afternoon, though I still couldn’t get it to not look like it was sinking into the ground on the right.

This doesn't really look like a regular hexagon to me, it looks like a rectangular building with two 45 degree chamfered corners. Is it meant to have six equal angles?

Im sorry Quast, but your version doesnt seem right either... Its too flat compared to the other buildings, and its not 6 equal sides....

Ive spent quite a few hours on trying to figure this shape out, and this is the best one I could make. If you're not happy with it, leave it out of the set and consider the sextant an impossible shape for isometrics.... There are prettier stations anyway :D

It looks a bit off compared to other buildings. If you see OpenTTD buildings from a high point, your version looks like the player is looking from a lower point.

It is indeed a very difficult shape, but... Just finished coding it all ;-)
So it is in, don't like it? Don't use it ;-) And it's an easy replacement if better graphics are made.
If I may suggest, I do think that the frontal view should be with straight lines, the sides however could be right with ths's original setup. But don't have time now to fiddle around with it.

So Version 0.7 now available on Bananas:

- Fixed wrong shadings of Douma platforms
- Changed catenary appearance on non-track tiles with platform graphics (no pylons, but still wires when built in electrified mode)
- Added KNLS-1 station (non-track, front and backview)
- Added HESM-1 station (non-track, front and backview)
- Added Sextant station (non-track, low platform front and backview, high light and dark platform, smaller version islandstyle and normal style)
- Added single-sided platformed buffers

I find ths's version the best, your version seems to be build by a poor contractor who only too late discovered the foundation at the back was lower then in the the front, Quast.

I originally tried to draw it with a straight front, but that makes the other angles impossible to make, so you have to make the front diagonal, to get closer to the necessary angle on the other sides... thats why its slightly angled in my version, but thats also what makes it look weird, cause it will never line up entirely with other buildings...

öh, my geometrics studies are a while ago, but shouldn't a regular hexagon be symmetric?

by ths
Ok, so I took one final stab at it... This is the most symmetrical, parallel I could get it on this scale. I also made it one (damn) pixel smaller so it would fit on a island platform...

What do you guys say, in or out?

ths

EDIT: ps, quast, I realized I made a mistake in making the second view on the previous one. Now the door side is always on a straight line, so it should blend a bit more with other stations...

ths's version will be in the next update. It does indeed look best, difficult shape though. Who would expect that from such a simple looking building in real life ;-)
