Oh, I'm sorry, I activated your account, didn't clear it. So you may just log in.

Oh. Could you clear it? I've forgotten my password, and I don't see a button to send me a new password.

OK, cleared. Remember, you need to have "always log me in" enabled at the forums for the registering to succeed.

A suggestion: Can You allow more extensions in the repository? For example, 7Z or RAR files (They are better for source files). Also, JPEG is another interesting extension to allow, because sometimes I use it instead of JPG.

is the wiki page http://wiki.openttd.org/32bpp_fullzoom_ ... aphics_set
updated at the same time as the repository or is it possible to find new stuff in it, that has not been linked to wiki yet?

They're not synced in any way, so contents may differ.

I'm still thinking about RAR and 7z - mainly about Linux support. Are they a breeze to use on Linux? .jpeg is going in for sure, when I'm next making modifications.

err sorry wrong link, i meant this one : http://wiki.openttd.org/32bpp_Extra_Zoom_Levels
and no i dont think that wiki is somehow synced but clearly its looks like someone taking the time to update it amd the links themself points back to your site so no "syncing" needed.
i just prefer the simple list presentation over the tree with to much information i as user dont need, that f the list is up to date.

Depending on what kind of "user" you are, I may have a rebuttal: the repo is for artists, the wiki is for players.

If you're an artist, and still find it cumbersome to crawl through tree strctured lists - well, I had to write the script in a way that prepares for if/when we get a lot more material. A single continuous list won't work for that.

user as the guy who uses all those great stuff you ppl make :))

and no i dont have problem with tree structures but for this i dont want to know there is 4 compilation of A and 0 of B and ....
i just want the fastest way to download it, on that matter a periodic (say one in a month?) full pack will be

OK, some changes are now online.
  • New feature: Repo now accepts .7z and .rar archives.
  • New feature: Repo now accepts .jpeg and .gif screenshots.
  • New feature: Users can now change the type of their entry.
  • New feature: Clicking the main title on any page will now disable edit mode in addition to taking you to the index.
  • New feature: "View complete history" in the index page was moved to below the activity log and now lists all entries in the log. Below the recent uploads list you can view a complete list of all files.
  • New feature: Users can now view various bits of information about each other by clicking user names in any of the file views.
  • Change: Users can now rename a fork immediately upon creation, omitting the [fork] tag if they so wish. However, when others view the file it is prominently tagged as a fork.
  • Change: Maximum file size increased to 50 MB from 20 MB
  • Bugfix: The main title while confirming a new account is no longer a link to the index.
  • Bugfix: Removed references to ID# from all files list.
  • Typographical: File Index is now called Site Index
Spot any bugs or notice I broke something, drop me a line, as always...

Sweet. Good work. All of those features are appreciated, particularly the editable file data; thanks for that.

A resend password feature would be nice. Or just you answering you pms of course.

Seriously, no hard feelings. :) But I'd really like to upload some files, but alas the stupid guy on this side of the screen can't access the repository now his password is lost. :))

Oops

There's really no excuse, I just forgot. Anyway, the problem we're having is that the password isn't sent anywhere in the first place, and beyond the password, the repo doesn't have any way of telling it's you. If there was a "reset password" button, anyone could reset anyone's password. This is also the reason why we can't activate after the initial try.

I need to figure out a solution but in the mean time, would you like me to wipe your old account so you can register again?

I'd say just let users register an email address and use that to send password recoveries to once an account has been activated. If you make the email field optional, users can remain more anonymous if they wish so, at the price of being unable to recover the password.

I've now registered succesfully.

But actually I wanted an account to upload some 3d models, only to see that the repo seems mainly sprite-based.

Will upload the sprites but do you also welcome (compressed) 3d models?

The initial intention was for models/source files, although it seems to have become popular for finished .tars now, which Jupix seems to have also kindly allowed.

Just uploaded both for my artctic building (excluding the snow sprite, I didn't make it (but maquinista did) and I don't have it). Thanks. :)
