Have you played pharaoh ? most buildings ( such as bazaars, firehouses, normall residential housing etcetc) only have 1 side painted, rotating the map has no change on their apprearance, couldn't the same be applied for openTDD? Eg. the textures the buildings use now, copied so they are also used when rotated, I don't care if buildings look the same, I'm interested in looking at rail networks etc from a different side ?

There are some buildings in TTD which could cause trouble - mostly hotels, industries and airports.

Btw, all non-square buildings and also some others HAD their angled graphic in pharaoh (temple complexes, riverside structures, palaces, monuments and some others).

that farm house isn't irregular its 2x2. irregular is when a building as a base that isn't square or rectangular.

Code: Select all

    Irregular regular
    ┌─┬─┬─┐ ┌─┬─┬─┐
    ├─┼─┼─┘ ├─┼─┼─┤
    └─┴─┘ └─┴─┴─┘

It's because you said "building", not "fields".

The fields are different sprites which are 1*1 on their own, just like fields in OTTD.
