LOL... any old fool (orderly queue please fall in behind me) can redraw the numbers with a different colour. :P

I wanted to add a sprite recolour map so that I kept 1 set of graphics, but could at will change what colour they are displayed in. Unfortunately the system to use a newgrf defined sprite recolour map is... horrible! Its ok when the recolour map is defined in the standard base files, but not a custom one in a newgrf. What I may do is redo the numbers into the colours used by the tile highlighter, and then I could reuse their remap colours.

Although it has to be said, the sprites you've sorted there are very nice.... ;) Want to do the other numbers? (In seaplaneport.pcx). About 50 numbers and letters in the other orientations.

Hmm... now there's a nice idea... number the terminals. Bit heavy on having to have lots of sprite definitions, but might look quite pretty.

Anyway. I can see no feedback to my work 8o . That means that I have to do it better next time I update. That will take time coz I got a new cpu, and I have to transfer the files here.

So no updates so soon.

I continued working on it, but I tripled on a very difficlut thing for me.
How do I make the runway graphics look normal. (textura and all)
And after runway, a plane must go to boarding place and tracks for going to depot. I can't just add a brown piece of somethibg on a green square.
The problem is that I don't know how to make grass and those tracks look realistic. Any help / link to a tutorial would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

grass here

the above link was taken from the blender thread.

i like the grass, prehaps if you got permission you could use that grass, so that all the 32bpp grass was the same !!

as for the runways, i can just say, play about with it, and it will come !!

Lordazamath did not write "Thhow". Please refrain from attributing misspellings incorrectly.

Also, please invest in a keyboard that permits capital letters, and without a sticky bang key.

Knock it on the head Dalestan. Your incessant pedantry is nothing but tiresome, and is the worst of spam as it belittles contributors who (last time I checked) are fallible human beings.

Missing one or two capitals (and/or misspelling one or two words) is fallible.
The repeated failure to use even a single capital letter in an entire post is something else entirely.

Hmm, interesting discussion about capitals etc (NOT).

If you want to use my grass, no problem, you can use it anyway you like( to be clear, this goes for any user of this forum, just don't redistribute it to other sites, it's still not finished) . If you need the blend file, PM me.

Wanted a link. Got a link. http://biorust.com/tutorials/detail/80/us/

Anyway, I found out that in blender thread there was a little airport WIP. I PM-d Aracirion and asked how far had he got with it, but he hasn't read it.
So if anyone knows anything about it, please let me know.

That small airport is here http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... start=2440

I suggest having the plane hangar on water, like the ship depot.

That would sort the entire what-to-do-with-planes-climbing-concrete-ramps issue.

Ok. After checking the wiki again more deeply I noticed a thing.
Small Airport - WIP - Aracirion & Ben

So there is no need to do double work I guess.
I will now concentrate on other buildings.

Sea ports don't have fences and the runway numbers.

Its a proof of concept more than any final artwork. Since it is all in a newgrf, everything can be changed... buoys instead of fence markers, blue (underwater) markers for runway landing position, etc. "The only limit is your imagination".
