AFAIK it is the set idea! Full NG-set only and I like it :)

I don't think many people are interested in playing with NG-vehicles only. I could be wrong tho.

Erm UKRS certainly has some free slots as my set works along with it just fine without either of the sets overlaping anything :wink:

Maybe we could combine it with your Lithuanian set, since I'm putting in some ex-USSR and Warsawa-Pakt railwaystock in it. How about it?

Okay, a double post, but I've finished yet some more graphics.

Here are some fictional goods and livestock vans and a Soviet-Union TU2 diesel:

This type was widely spread in the former USSR and other European countries under soviet regime. A great engine with lots of possibilities!

-EDIT-: I've refined the yellow linings on the TU2. They're now not so 'fat' anymore.

May I post my version? I'm working on tanker, wood, hopper (coal, iron), mail (modern) and passenger (modern) wagon!

But of course! Everyone who is willing to provide something for this set is welcome!

Despite all the discussion in here about weather this set should be made or not, I get the feeling that there is quite some fanbase for this project. :)

Of course! :)
Oh and forgot to add boxcar wagon or what ever it's called!
And 'Shay' loco is coming along well! :)

Great! I'm looking forward to it! Maybe we have an overload of wagons and coaches, but that's only better. After that is finished we can concentrate on the fun part: engines and MUs! :)

By the way, I'm working on the website. Here is a temporary screenie of it. I have to add some changes to the design IMO...

Nice site design!
For now I only dealing with wagons! But I did ask some permissions (to make my work a pit more easy and probably faster) but answers takes some time!
One more question! Are we making one type of wagon or is there possibility to make two types (smaller wagon in early years and larger on after that, like after 1970 or so)? Did You understand what I mean?

Thanks, I think two designs for wagons is good enough for me. :) I understand clearly what you mean. The more the merrier, since this set isn't going to be compatible with other sets anyway...

BTW, when you're in the groove making sprites, making them goes a lot faster than you think. ;)

Feel free to use any of the locos from the Canadian set NG. I'm eventually planning a Shay for that set as well, but anything you guys see that you want, by all means, just make sure to credit me for the original sprites.

That's great! The set is in need of North-American rolling stock. Most of the rolling stock is now European.

Isn't Canadian NG 1000mm by the way? If so, don't worry! Maybe if ISA agrees with it you can use his Shay for your set.

Well, there's the White Pass & Yukon which is 3' gauge and the Newfoundland Railways were "Cape Gauge" or 42" (The latter was dismantled in the 80's)

3ft = 914mm... Right? That's sufficient for my set IMO. I would like to use some diesels, namely the 'GE "Shovelnose"' and the 'ALCO/MLW RSD35' if that's okay.

It would be cool!
I hope to post some of my work here tonight! Need to do coal/iron hoppers and passenger wagon and 'Shay' of course!

Nice TU2!
Those operate in Lithuania too :wink:
My set however is not in a condition to be combined with anything becouse it's still very early version but i'll try to make some sort of more polished version soon :wink:

Newsflash:

The NG Set has a slight chance of being compatible with Purno's 2cc set. This means that there is more hope of a larger support of the members for this set, but it has some side-effects:

From the NG side:
-Since the set is going to be compatible with the 2cc set, all vehicles have to be recoloured to 2cc liveries. If this is a problem, I'm willing to do so;
-Due to a limited number of sprites some vehicles have:
-I've started with deleting all the electric motorized stock, which wasn't going to be very useful anyway ;) ;
-I also have to cut down on some DMU since these aren't as useful as engines are;
-The number of wagons/coaches also has to be reduced. There will be only one or two types of coach available;
-The mail van will be scrapped and replaced by a refittable goods van;
-Freight wagons also have to be reduced and made refittable;
-I hope ISA and others will understand these cuts in the program.

From Purno's side:
-To get some extra IDs free some vehicles have to cancelled when in combination with this set. I don't know which ones yet, but I'm sure quite a few MUs and two or three railbusses have to make way for the NG stock.

Please note: This is still in the discussion stage, so nothing is clearified on this yet.

I'm grateful for this offer and I don't want to upset people with not drawing the trains in the original liveries. I'll try to reproduce the vehicles in such a way that reproducing the original livery is possible to an extend. :)

If you have to cancel 'a lot of' vehicles, wouldn't this set have enough vehicles to be stand alone?
You can override quite some vehicles I guess.

And, if you hate to do them in 2cc, I advice you to create a stand alone set.
