Stop.

This isn't like the trams..

Different liveries need to be sorted - you can't just lump them all together. That'd be confusing. You need to find out what route those busses run before you start putting them onto the site.

er..
STOP THE BUS!
(see what i did there? clever eh......oh forget it)
It isn't done yet, yes, the site is the same layout as British Trams (in fact its actually copied with Tram changed To Bus so far) It will be changed later on, when i know this set will actually transpire into a working set.

EDIT: actually, its going to be hard getting ti all done like that, and Arriva livery is practically the same throughout, maybe we should keep livery the same, and just change the vehicle shape.

Seriously though - I have no idea where these busses operate.

Whats annoying with these companes, the major ones for instance Stagecoach..they have buses still in the old livery, buses in the new livery and then buses in an entirely different livery, either london buses red, or some other bizarre colours scheme depending on where they are and what company they took over..

@ JPMaster, thats the problem, indeed, Stagecoach still has some pure red buses from when they took over Yorkshire Traction up here in...yorkshire..actually.

If you want it to be realistic, you need to start with the big companies and let people "add" their local companies if they want to.

A good idea, but then we could end up with dozens of companies...

Does anyone know the maximum ID's there is for max of buses/coaches?

If you do not intend to use any vehicle slots which originally belongs to trucks, there are only 7 I think.

00 MPS Regal Bus
01 Hereford Leopard Bus
02 Foster Bus
03 Foster MkII Superbus
04 Ploddyphut MkI Bus
05 Ploddyphut MkII Bus
06 Ploddyphut MkIII Bus

I think you can easily find these information in the Wiki.

P.S. Any one knows if it is possible to use ID 3A - 57 which are originally Toyland Trucks? If I set Action 0 Prop 10 to 00 would the vehicle stops at truck stations or bus stations? Thx in advance.

My advice: think hard before you actually start drawing. As Dave said: make a list of companies you definetly want to include. Then look up the various types. It's very well possible that a certain bus type is available in multiple versions (i.e., short coach, normal coach and bendibus coach). That really avoids double work, fuzzyness and stimulates public interest.

If you use livery refitting, you can get rather a lot.

Ah, Livery re-fitting doesn't use ID's then.
that will be helpfull i think.

I know about that, but I don't have that GRF so I can't answer you how he managed to do so. Somebody might know here, but I think rather than sit here and ask you can decode the GRF and see in the NFO which slots he uses.

Well one glaringly obvious oversight is missing out London bus operators... There are lots of them although they have to by some weird law involving tourism and keeping the image of london be red (much like taxis have to be black - apart from the adverts).

Also, remember that you need busses from all times, not just modern buses, for instance an RM or RT.

At this stage I would like to declare that I will not draw anything for this set as I am personally not an RV person and if I do use RVs (which is rare) I use the HOVs set because most buses are in single colours anyway. I will however keep an eye on the progress of this topic and add help as you go along. I wish you the best of luck.

(By the way Kirk, Helpful is spelt with one L not two.)

Nice. Read the TWM one and that pointed out BODY TYPE.

That's a good one. TWM liveries are quite similar - the route one's are just generally route lines and names on the side which shouldn't be too hard to simulate.

We also need to decide how detaild to do them, as you may recall george put naked women on his (mmmmm...) do we want to be details and put the adverts on, or jsut stick to liveries?

Edit added that list to the website http://britishbuses.ttdgraphics.com/help.html
