i also said that since most functions in programming are in american english such as "Color" rather than "Colour" and americans prefer iZe, that in the code, you should include iZe as the function name.
then use -ise for some british strings, and -ize for american.

The American Heritage Dictionary has the spelling with the "z" but not the "s." Dictionary.com has the "z" form as the primary spelling, but has the "s" form as an alternative spelling for British.

Therefore, the correct American spelling is with the "z." The British folks can have the "s" form in their language pack if they desire.
