Hi and welcome.
I don't think that would be too hard, but also not very necesary. There are more important things to be added to the patch IMHO.

Hi and welcome too :D

Actually, that would be very neat to beat the AI or to fix a problem

It's not just to fix a problem, it's for more realism. If I leave the clock running, it can take a couple of days to give a bus a two-station set of orders. Now, I don't know about you, but I can tell someone "Go here, and then go here" in a lot less than a couple of days. But the game doesn't allow editing waypoints if the game is paused. From there it's a short step to building while paused as well.

Now, it's not too hard to minimize elapsed time, using F1, but it's a pain in the caboose. Hence the request.

I understand, this for example: you can buy a train while paused, but to give it an order you have to press F1, give it the order, then click F1 again and go to next station, F1, give order, F1, ...
It's annoying that you have to un-pause to give the orders :?

But for realism, you can't build a railway in one day.

We wouldn't need all this if we just could slow down TTd-time.
I mean unloading a train in three or four days?:?
We live in the container times you know.
The time has to be slowed down at least three or four times. Then telling your bus where to go to wouldn't take that much time anymore.

Agree entirely. How about making it only for orders, ie you can give orders while paused.

What I was saying

I posted somewhere about changing game speed ..but is very hard ...and it make many crashes ... so the best idea is to change PAUSE option to not build at all or to free build

But a railroad *can* be built in a day, provided you have enough men and a few sky-hook construction helicopters to deliver materials...

All kiding asside (for a moment) the F1-click-F1 sequence can be used to build railroads in fairly short order. So why not save all us poor players that repetitive sequence?

I don't see any comments from the patchman, so it's probably on the 'things to when I'm bored' list
(J/K Josef, honestly, what do you think of the F1 repetetive actions ? )

As I see it.
THIS is a GAME!. You don't like it, joint the railroad! Stop complaining about everything! Game is a GAME! You don't like it, don't play it! Go and play The Sims! You need to pee? Tell him/her to pee. This constant bitching about the speed, realism, how long the cargo should load or unload is silly. I do play this, because I DO LIKE IT! Do I ever b**** about anything? Hardly ever. Yea, if I want new graphics, I will ask person politely, Please can you....? Not to push anybody to do it. If Josef tomorrow decide to quit, to whom you will pointing this requests? Marcin? What if decide to quit?
Get real. Game will be a game, regardless of your screaming for the changes!
BTW, build your own railroad, put the silly cap on your head and blow the whistle. The train will do what ever you decided to do. And to add new building, go and buy it, then spent 2 months to put the sh!!t together and viola, you got new building in almost real time (US time, not European one)! Then blow your whistle. And the train will go and go and go.....

@Sultana
Now, I like to hear the reason WHY? to shut up? WE are pushing Josef to do stuff, which never was in the game what so ever. He is already rewriting the game as is. But some of the request are really silly and, to be honest, very stupid. With some imagination, you can do, what ever you want. The limits are built in the game engine ( as you like it or not), and, in so many cases, the players are just plain damm! If you want everything real, just joint the real world! In real world the train may take a week to unload. Do I want this in my game? NOO! Get the Europa 1400. They kidnap you and then you sit for 5 years game time, about 30 minutes real time to get out. And what you can do? NOTHING! Do you want this in the game? Wait for half hours till some other action will come out? Silly decision by programmer, you will say. And, you will put this game on, "maybe" or "we will see later" list. You want the real life, go and get it. I like my game be just A GAME!

edit: er... let me rephrase that "I wasn't aiming the second comment at you"

Electrified Railways

Two suggestions:

1. Electrified bridges

2. Put the pilars that carry the electric wires on one side of the track, like the example pictures on the "New Graphics" site. In my opinion that would look like more realistic. :D

By the way,
Thanks to Josef and all the others who make a contribution to the beauty of TTDX; you make my life so beautiful!
