Sneaky copying my code, just kidding, I think I will add a true display for the waiting cargo for the truck stops :D

Well, those are just single tiles. Shouldn´t display of waiting cargo (incl. "new cargoes") be postponed until the "newstations" feature will be spread to other vehicles as well?

Just my 2cc.

Michael

We are waiting since, hmm, one Year for adding busstops to the newstations system.
As newroutes changes the concept at stations aswell, I don't think we should wait... (and I only want to show the other cargo icons, nothing that fancy)

@krtaylor:
I am going to add tram-tractions as well, which requires more parts, e.g. 2 tram of 3 parts = 6 parts because I have it to code it as one vehicle.

@stevenh:
here you go.

RK, you rock. You brought to light a nasty issue with my collision-detection.
It turned out that all trailers were actually there, they were just on top of eachother

Anyway, fixed (see the pic, 6-cars is a little insane :P )

Also updated a few minor issues with aRVs now getting jammed at the entrance of original bus/truck stops.

... please see the main post.

Really fine job, stevenh!! The japanese trams look so great!
The articulated vehicles feature is really nice. I am now quite motivated to do some road vehicles and trams!!

They still need a lot of touching up.
BTW, I'd love to see them included in the overall scheme of the Japan set. If you think they're worthy. :o

Right now, build a standard truck-stop (with the road building).
There will be no tram tracks on it, but the trams will still stop.

Hmmm... they're getting out of whack.. that could be because of the breakdowns that I haven't account for because I usually have breakdowns set to 0.

edit: Ok, George, had you been running these vehicles since 1950? the vehicles get 'reset' once they go back in teh depot, it's quite challenging to make them check their position on each step.
Once that tram had done a loop back into the depot, all seemed fine again.
I'd love to know how you managed to split them in the first place? Did you try to make them UTurn or something similar?

Woah! are you joking? off course, they are prime quality 8) It will be my honor to have them included in the set.

...

Speaking about prime, now that articualted RVs are possible, I want to do this:

I don't know where, but I will do it :o

I would love to have Japanese trams, and I'll collect them as they're drawn, but we really need to have the Japanese trains finished coding before we start on something new there.

Yes
stevenh wrote:edit: Ok, George, had you been running these vehicles since 1950?
You mean since the game begin? Yes, I just made a test game and started trams

a break down on the previous loop made it to come out from depot split

no

Articulated RVs? I plan this too. The first question is - would Articulated RVs code go into ttdpatch 2.5?
The second question is - nise truck. Did you draw only this view or is it a complete truck? If so, I'd like to suggest to include it in LV set, because it looks like it has the same scale. What do you think?

BTW, wheels look a bit small. Could you post the photo of the truck?

I found a way to achive the same effect as I mentioned earlier. I made a save with your version of the patch, then loaded it in beta 5 and then saved again, and loaded your version of patch again. I got the same derailed vehicles, so you can use that for tests.

George: thanks a lot! I have only that view done, but if you are really interested in the model, I can complete it and even make some additional liveries. I'd be glad to have it added to the set.
It is indeed a tribute to Optimus Prime

The model is a Freightliner COE:
