I COULD make you a moderator right now but "Moderator" wouldn't appear under your name and the administrators wouldn't be too pleased.

Well, as I've said before, we do not (in my opinion) need more moderators - it's not as if we're receiving thousands of posts and hundreds of new members a day.

we get like 200 posts every day.

...We don't have more mods than members....although Combat forums do!

they dont - theres 12 members, and 3 of them can moderate.

My forums have only just started, theres hardly any members because no-one can be bothered to go there, only 3 of us actually post messages on there, I've got 3 moderators so when people finally bother to go there all spam is cleared and the forums don't look a total mess. At the moment my forums suck but what can I do....

I've submitted my web site to over 50 search engines but no one actually looks for my site. I told you all about it here, but Arundel is the only one who bothered to join, and he rarely goes there anymore. I may close down my domain if I can't get anyone to join, sod my 2 year domain deal.

and then the administrators ban be and delete the posts. Whats the point in advertising? No one looks at them and it costs £50 for 1 advert in the newspaper.

What you need to do is get some interesting content that people want to look at. Spread the word, and eventually, your site will receive many hits a day. In November 1999, when I launched my site (then just the Visual Basic Workshop), very few people visited it. But I improved upon the content, redesigned the site, expanded it, added new sections, and so on, and I receive thousands of hits a week.

What ARE people interested in mostly apart from Porn and Drugs.
