My first screenshot is showing an industrial-station north of Chicago. I´m playing my Northamerica-scenario actually, available via content-download. The other sreenshot shows Metropolitan Area Chicago. The Passenger-Station of Chicago can be seen easily in the southern part.
There are passenger-trains running for 20 destinations: Chicago - Milwaukee, Davenport, Des Moines, Peoria, Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield (IL), Memphis, Atlanta, Evansville, Gary, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Toledo, Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia und New York.

Amazing! Is the newstation in the middle of the harbor supposed to be a prison? Looks awesome!!

That's right, it's Newstation. I like the look of it too! :)

Read my question again.. IS IT SUPPOSED TO BE A PRISON?

Considering the file comment for the screen shot is "Alcatraz Prison! Ship-Builder yard too!" I think that's a safe bet

And the name of the file is Prison.png..

Well, I usually don't read the comments or the filenames.

@ Epicboy: Fantastic harbour, i love it!

Here´s another shot from my north-america-scenario:
The small town Pocatello north of Salt Lake City with an expanding industrial station.

Great shots. Here's one for my current game, expanding this station (which will certainly be necessary) will be a pain. :(

Wow, these are truly awesome! I like the way you creatively use some station parts as different stuff than they're supposed to be, e.g. the prison or the ISR access ramps as ramps to the (never arriving) ferries :)
Too bad the rails don't match 100% :(

@Myfineshrine: your shot has a nice look with all the trees :) quite idyllic (despite a lot of transportation going on)

Maybe some of you want to submit their screenshots in this thread to have it featured on the OpenTTD page? (if you're using Open, that is - can't tell in Epicboy's case...)

Either divert the freight tracks or put them underground and place the passenger station on top of it. The latter is more expensive and inefficient with heavy freight traffic. Nice shot though :)

Thank you for the comments:-)

Here are other regions of my north-america-scenario. Early in the game i started around Seattle; i have to find some room for a detailed harbour (actually only the docks are there), that would be the next step here. The problem is that i don´t want to immolate to many tiles covered with buildings.
You can see Denver and Detroit in the other two pics.

Here are two more bigger cities, Salt Lake City and San Diego. The last one offers a scenic view over a small part of the Rocky Mountains with Butte, Helena and Great Falls with a regional-passenger service. The railroad is following the Missouri River and runs west of the Canyon Ferry Lake.

Here's a few randoms from a game I played on my old iMac until the lag time got too heavy.
Basically it was a huge passenger network, with express, local and semi-fast services all sharing tracks as much as possible. As this was almost all constructed before PBS was in the trunk there are more than a few bottlenecks, which now with a faster computer I am revisiting slowly! It's also the game that will never die, as the cities expand and in some cases contract and I constantly need to add new stations - and in some cases close old ones down.

Two more random ones from a different game. I wanted to play around a little with the idea of larger cities broken down into smaller areas or boroughs. So I created a map with some larger conurbations - basically placed a few cities next to eachother and kept clicking increase.

Has anyone else done anything similar, and how did it work out?
