The task of revising NARS sprites continues unabated, as does the increase of new locos.

EMD SD9 for all 3 climates and a revised GP9 to allow a 1px gap

Revision of the Turbo Train and also a small tweak on the Steeplecab size

We've got Alcos, FM's, GE's and GM's in the set, so... How about a Baldwin? This loco will be only available in Temperate

Revised my Company Colour RF16 to 7/8 length. Purno also has a hand in this sprite as well.

Other goodies on the way as well, so stay tuned ;)

Hello Folks!

A new version of my searchlight signals. They can now be used in all three climates, with a climate parameter switch (1=temp, 2=arc, 4=trop, eg, newgrf/arcticsignalw.grf 6 will give you searchlights in arctic and tropical only).

windows version | DOS version

Ahh, beuty. Now a good north american signals set for all three climates.

Cheers, Pikka.

PikkaBird, I'd be interested in talking with you about your signals, if you're agreeable.

Sure...

Would you like to have your signals offered on the US Set website? Of course you can have them anywhere else you like too.

Also, would you be at all interested in a modernization of the existing US Signals set, to bring it up-to-date with PBS signals? Maybe this could be in combination with your new signals, or kept separate, as you prefer.

That would be great, if you want to upload the signals to the US Set website.

I'll have a look at the old US Set signals too.

v1.0, for all three climates, is up.

Hopefully Dan will update the first post of this thread when he gets home. :)

When my exams are over, I'm going to work on some NARS industries, and rejig the running costs (mwahaha) for this set.

Before I post your searchlight signals, I'd like your thoughts as to how they should be combined with the existing US signals. I don't want the usage to be too confusing if I can avoid it.

Signals are just a straight-out graphic replacement. They won't "combine" with the existing US signals at all.

I've downloaded the US signals and will have a look later at upgrading them to be PBS compatible.

Great work, Pikka and DanMacK!

See, your searchlight signals are I think the same thing as bulls'-eye signals. The US signal set has these in the Tropics, but they aren't really that great, and of course they are also not PBS. Yours are much better in both regards. The US signal set also contains B&O/NEC color aspect signals, and American semaphores, both of which are fine as far as they go but, again, not PBS. I think the simplest thing would be to replace the Tropic signals in the current US Signals file, with your most excellent searchlight ones. That way US set users could use just the one file. And of course, if you were willing to update the other US Signals for PBS, that would be wonderful.

now for the industries. By the way yay that the set nolonger has the steelmill as i didnt realise it was incompatable with the test one off the site so my game was borked and should no longer be. by borked i mean i was transporting coal to it and if i removed the test one all my money makers would have no place to drop off there coal.

Here's a beta version with revised running costs. I want to playtest it for a while before uploading it to the website, so if anyone wants to help that would be great. :)

I love this set! I'm wondering though, are there plans for including more electric engines and MUs?
