hi, i'm dr.müller, a veterinarian at the pfungbrück state medical center. my department carries on research over the animals kept at farms over the northern region. we also check the health conditions periodically. we recently received an invitation from ravensmüster state agriculture department to carry on inspections at schweinfurt farms. i was appointed by my head of staff for this occasion. so i got prepared for a six days' voyage.

1.it's 10:00am in the morning, me and my colleague dr.schneider are waiting for the train to take us to ravensmüster. here it comes, tight on schedule, northbound train arrives at 10:10am and leaves at 10:30am.

2.it's a bright sunny day, we are proceeding through a valley but i can just see a mail train bound for pfungbrück to the left.

3.we pass near pfungbrück farms and steel facilites. these facilites are soon to be connected to the state railroads, the officials say. i can see the southbound train passing.

4.we arrive at ravensmüster grand central. it's a very busy day, long goods trains line up to enter the station. it's good to be at ravensmüster.

5.we take the bus from the station to downtown. my old friend, herr.verheugen welcomes me with his warm smile. it's first time he meets dr.schneider, and he has a surprise for us!

6.there's the local cricket cup finals tonight at the big stadium! our seats are reserved at the best view!!. ravensmüster dragons beat michelhaven eagles and get the cup! really big atmosphere.

7.it's early in the morning, time to get up and get on th road. since our inspection covers the hygiene conditions of the main livestock and grain transport, the trains, we get on the first goods train that arrives in the morning and head to the schweinfurt factory.

8.the train is scheduled for its routine maintenance works, so it heads schweinfurt yard further north where we'll disembark. we are followed by a three-headed steel carrier coming from ravensmüster steel factory.

9.we spend some time in the factory checking food & agricultural productin steps and facilites. the main station is very busy..

10.an air-conditioned neoplan takes us from the factory along with several officials from the factory staff. we are heading for michelhaven

11.on the way, we see schweinfurt power central and travel along the main line to the farms area

12.at michelhaven, we're welcome by local health director. it's time to have something to eat

13.next stop is schweinfurt. it's the end of this day. everybody is tired.

14.the next day, we start with schweinfurt livestock & grain co., the facilites are well maintained. the presence of the local coal mine however makes the animals little sick.

15.the livestock train just passed us at schweinfurt l&g, we catch it at schweinfurt fields, where it loads its huge amount of sheep, cows and heads to schweinfurt factory. the hygiene and health conditions here are much better. we are well treated by the local engineers and farmers.

16.our final stop is schweinfurt valley farms. what a brilliant sea under the sun!! another full livestock train passes non-stop on the outer line. there's a three-headed grain carrier inside the station.

17.me and my colleague are in a hurry, herr.verheugen arranges for us a trip on the freight train! we have to get back to our office fast! we jump on the grain loco and see how these trains pass between the mountains.

18.after a long voyage, here we are back at the factory again. the crew is very friendly, we thank them and go to the factory office to jump to another train to ravensmüster. we have to finish these annual reports!!
