It's a source code patch. So, maybe, but it won't help you as you could just as well then use the version it was made for as you'll have to compile yourself anyway. Rather get the binaries from http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/is2

If you decide to compile yourself: this is not a general "how do I compile" thread.

No, it would break multiplayer and savegame compatibility. I mean, by all means, try to patch it but I don't think it will be successful.

Please keep all discussions related to IS in this topic: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=42254 This to avoid confusion with two topics 'infrastructure sharing' in the list.

Ontopic: You *could* patch 1.0.0-beta1 with this patch, but the patch is very outdated and, as far as I can remember, horribly buggy*. You're better off using IS2.1, or perhaps 2.0 beta5. See the link above for more info.

*I will not imply that current IS versions are completely bug fee, they will probably have less bugs though.
