my layout is Out of action ATM because of tools blocking the line, namely the soldering iron and drills, and the hammer...
byt now all the track is pinned down and ready to go! (apart from the dirt on it  )
Then you should get to cleaning it

Track cleaning wagon works better, less hassle.

Though, one of the perks of using Märklin's three-rail system is that its less suspectible to dust.

I have no need for a track cleaner, I have a built in High Voltage track cleaner, that works by zapping the dirt when ever a train passes over it. Say a Train passes over a bit of dirt and the current between train and track is blocked thus not used by the train the track cleaner puts more current in to zap the dirt, The only cleaning required is a light rub with a cloth every now and then to remove and residue from the zapping process and some metelated spirit on real tough dirt.

Sadly only bought track at the model shop today, Although a 3 Car Class 168 and another Voyager took my fancy.

My track extension is going slowly, 40 euros for 10 pieces of straight track, ouch.

So far i have a feeder track that i can plug the transformer in to provide power for the track + 2 mobile stations(whenever i turn my layout digital..), a starter set that provided me with a full circle layout(and the locomotive and 3 wagons ofcourse, and a transformer), wich i extended with a curved turnout with a curved piece of track on end of it.

Got a track plan for us Louie? Some very nice pictures and some very nice rolling stock there. I wouldn't mind doing a layout based around a Sydney Suburban Network, but I still love modelling BR and the countryside :D.

Why is it so expensive? Is it special? The track type I get (Hornby), I could get a lot more than 10 for €40

Märklin 3 Rail(AC), though the price rates in Finland in the model railway industry are higher up than elsewhere anyways, i could probably get Märklin from Germany for cheaper(well, by matter of euro or three depending on item), but post prices would eventually end up bringing the price to the same level as if i bought them from the shop i buy currently form.

This is the feeder track i got http://www.modellbahn-kramm.com/E/artik ... 4088&nav=0

also the turnout i have http://www.modellbahn-kramm.com/E/artik ... 4671&nav=0
