Update on other projects .. some of them I am unable to continue with at moment.
I am on vacation in Philippines and not sure when I will return to Australia .. could be a few months or maybe a few years.
Before I left Australia I made a copy of all my projects and all the photos I had taken of Railway Stations, Railway Infrastructure and the Power Sub-station onto a portable Hard Drive to bring with me.
Unfortunately I have lost that Hard Drive. So some projects I don't think I be able to work on till I return to Australia and access my main computer.
The Industry Objects and the Power Stations a few posts above are such projects I am unable to continue with at the moment.
Cheers all

Hi all,
Still fiddling with the idea of tunnels.
Decided to try with double tracks and hope the overlaps will also work good with single tracks.
This a double track curved section.

- Curved Tunnels 3.png (81.32 KiB) Viewed 6931 times
This single track curved section using same overlap pieces.

- Curved Tunnels 4.png (62.63 KiB) Viewed 6931 times
Now I think I have it how I want hope to be able to work on overlaps for tunnels of other types.
The hardest ones will be tracks running north-south directions.

Back to the drawing board .. testing some tunnel overlaps with trains and tooooo many glitches.
Needed to put the thinking cap on for a while.

Testing some ideas with my train sets and the display I placed on the
Australian AuzTrains and NSWTrains forum gave me a idea.
Why can't we have depots for trains running east west direction so came up with this idea.

- East West depot.png (50.36 KiB) Viewed 6719 times
Hiding in that image is a train depot.
Can try it in this object set. Still some adjustments to be made.

Another great idea Garry! You seem to have a knack of spotting simple things the no one has thought of yet that will greatly enhance the game.

Thanks Diesel Power .. now for extras .. again came from another idea.
Improved the graphics on the depot to match those of one of the depots in my station set. The station set also has overlaps so can hide a depot almost any where inside these depots.
When trying to align the roofing of these east-west depot extensions with the depots of from my station sets came up with idea of depots on a curve. Not sure if this idea of curved depot worth following up on just yet.

- East West depot 2.png (53.1 KiB) Viewed 6563 times

The top curved depot I think I can make these 4 wide. The next lot will be a bit difficult .. need a lot of pondering on that idea.
Here the update. Ideas and suggestions appreciated.

Added doors and another type of depot.
This new depot not sure if I can successful adjust the roof to allow on curves,
and hope fixed a few glitches in previous one.

The 2 new fences seen above is a Wood Panel Fence and a Security Fence with barb wire along the top.
Both fences slightly higher than previous fences.
Not sure when I be doing any more projects as be busy for most of the week with travelling and family commitments.
Here both the game and source files.

In my AuzRailSet there is a rail track that has these fences and there is also a Object set.
The object ones are slope aware.

Still playing around with fences and also foundation Retaining Walls.
Retaining Walls I mainly designing for foundations for railway lines, but also good for roads and other locations.
Credit for the object retaining walls goes to planetmaker and his OpenGFX+Landscape. You will find the Brick, Stone and Stone with Moss Foundations that he made all included with the AuzFencesObjects.
One set of fences I done as sound barriers. Done these wooden fence ones so far with Retaining Walls.

- Sound Barriers-1.png (25.74 KiB) Viewed 5779 times
This game file has Auz Fences, Auz Fences with Gates and Road, Auz Foundations Retaining Walls, and, Auz Railway Fences.
WARNING: Due to many changes I have made with the fences it might conflict with any saved game you have using the older versions of AuzFenceObjects.
Any one like to have a look at the source and maybe use some for their own projects.
Cheers

Hi SimYouLater, thanks for your concern.
At the moment I back in Australia but heading back to Philippines in 2 weeks time.
I was in Philippines between July 23 and September 20 but had to return to Australia to get Melanomas checked on back and head that I had removed in April. Must be all ok as doctor say hope I don't come back
Have had other health issues but they ok at moment.
When I travelled to Philippines in July I lost my portable hard drive with a lot of my work on it, especially photos.
I have back up of all the work on main computer here in Australia, so still have access to all of that. But I did lose many of the photos I had taken of power stations and railway infrastructure.
So Before I go back to Philippines will get as many photos I can to replace those I lost so I can continue the projects I been working on.
Yesterday I was able to get photos of the power sub-station so hope be able to continue the power station soon.
This Tuesday and Thursday I be train riding to get photos of infrastructure of those I lost.
So hope soon I be back in full swing.
Cheers

Been doing some electrical work.
Still some touching up to do with some parts and a few more parts to add.
It based on a sub-station at a place called Killingworth located west of Newcastle near the suburbs of Barnsley just to the east and Cessnock on other side of ther mountains to the west, NSW Australia.
It not finished but you can play around with it to see what I been doing.
Cheers

Added a few more pieces and fixed some graphic issues. Still some issues to fix.
Designed a fence to go around the power station similar to that used at a Sub-Station near where I live. The gates a bit hard to see but they are there. (Do not touch the wires at top of the fences as you might get a shocking experience

).

- New Power Stations9.png (156.26 KiB) Viewed 5542 times
The brown things near bottom corner suppose to be spare wooded power poles.
If you try to design a power station with what I done and find a design you unable to make let me know and see if I can add a piece or two so most designs can be achieved.
There a few more pieces I like to add especially some more service roads. Also some wires are out of alignment too which I intend to fix.

Fixed a few more issues and added some more bits and pieces.

- New Power Stations10.png (179.62 KiB) Viewed 5464 times
Fixed: The wires from main Gantries.
Added:
Another set of fences.
More Service Roads
Unless you can find some issues or have a idea for some more to be added, it is basically finished.
Hope to add it to Bananas in a week or 2 when I sure no more need to be added or issues fixed.
Source and game file below if like to use.

Looking at doing some Communication Towers to go with the Electricity Objects.
This result so far.

- Communication Towers.png (5.56 KiB) Viewed 5400 times
Another thing I been looking at is fences. The fences I did for the Electricity Substations shown above are in the middle of the tiles. Wondering if I could make many of the fences like that, so not waste the tiles. In the middle of tiles I think looks better then on the edge. Just wondering where this idea will not work?

Hi Garry,
New substations looks amazing! Thanks a lot for this!
Are you going to add some more power towers in the set? If not, would it be possible to add in the set same metal power tower but in two different heights: original one and with lower height (so to have same two with different heights)? Also would it be possible to add power tower in П shape in a grey color to simulate concrete? It would be also great if telephon power tower would be in two collor: original one for emulate wood and in grey color to emulate cocrete. If you don't mind would it be possible to add also tower without wires as you did some time ago?

Thanks for the complement, appreciated.
TTDFanDNUA wrote: Are you going to add some more power towers in the set?
Eventually hope to add some more, just not sure when. Been working on this one for some time. But just not got it right at the top. Think it need to be a bit narrower.

Some of your ideas TTDFanDNUA any chance of you supplying a image of them to give me a better idea?
Last night mucking around with what I did so far and looking at photos I taken of the sub-station near me. They have some corner fences bent the opposite way where they have some buildings and stored equipment. So I added another bend in the fences so can get this result.

- Extra Fence-2.png (23.03 KiB) Viewed 5345 times
Need to make similar for the first fences as well, or remove those fences completely and just have the second ones only.
There be a few more parts to add to this set as I will make some of the buildings and equipment I seen at the sub-station as well, also hope to add the communication tower.
Hope let you have a copy of the game file with the next 24 hours.
Cheers
