All of the changes to Auz Objects since September have now been uploaded to the in-game content download system. Those files that have been update also now have a proper readme.txt file and a partial changelog.txt files which will get updated with past changes as I can get to them.

The AuzObjects 1-Click Downloader has also been updated to download all of the latest files for those who have new installations. If you have previously installed AuzObjects, it is not necessary to download this file, the game automatically will download the latest versions when you go into the download service and select "Upgrade".

I'm at the library filling in time waiting for my bus s thought I tell you all what i been working on the past week while no internet at home.

some time ago I mentioned like t make buildings to build on slopes with their own foundations.

Well I started on these.
^ Made some old houses that can have back yards that will build on slopes. Both parts can go on slopes or 1 part flat land and other part on slope.
They will build on slopes facing North west, North East, South-West and south-East.
* Made some shops that will also build on the slopes with brick work foundations.
* Also added some wells. these well ca be placed in parks and used as a wishing well or on a farm for water supply to the homes.
* Made some 3 store units (Already have some for flat ground, so now we will have some that go on slopes as well).
* Made a country church
* A country town hall that is used as a school weekdays, church Sundays, and Friday nights and Saturdays for dances, weddings, and other entertainment,
* A country fire and ambulance stations (animated).

That all I got time t tell you. Bus comes in about 10 minutes.

Cheers

Houses... On slopes? Sounds absolutely wild, I would love to see neighborhoods built on hills without the ugly vanilla foundations :? , so I look forward to seeing what you can do, maybe even some sloped underground garage entrances :D ?

Very nice!

The only remarks I have is that the houses would look even better with just a bit of texture:
Example960.png
Example960.png (46.48 KiB) Viewed 1984 times
Just randomly sprinkle a couple of lighter/darker pixels on them, thats all.

And with regards to the roofs of the shops.
Those have some very light texture, but I think they also could do with just a tad more visible pixels.
That way they look better in normal zoomed out view.

EDIT:
I really like the animations of the emergency buildings, nice detail! ;-)

I do know a technique I use for texture, and it's relatively controllable and works pretty well. If you use Photoshop, you can add a noisemap as a clipping mask ( Making it temporarily 32bpp ), then when you index it, it should auto texture the asset. you can also use the dodge and burn tools for some highlights/marks :D . If you'd fancy, I'd be able to show you how to accomplish this later on :D

Shall see what I can do. also found on the 2 story buildings the door ways are meant too be next to the lane way and some I god ass about.

I had a try with some of "fridarmons" high rise apartments see if like and maybe he like to do some too. :D
Can not show you image as forgot to copy it to my USB stick. :(

I use coral and there a lot I still to learn how to use in that program.

If there is any buildings I previously built 1x1 and probably 1x2 that like see a slope version let me know. Maybe do a screen shot of them so easy for me to now what ones you mean. If any other coders have buildings that like to have a sloped version maybe ask them to see if they can make some.

In mean time here the latest game file and the source. It has some of fridaemon's high rises.

It shows up as v16 ingame (it is the v17 though)
Not too important as there probably soon will come a version v18 ;-)

That's okay, I think the version counting is off. Since I started documenting the changes to post on Bananas, version 14 was posted on page 148, and I've not found a version 15 posted. So I think this one should actually be 16.

Also, just came across this from April 2023:
GarryG wrote: 07 Apr 2023 09:54 Just to give you early warning that there are some BIG changes happening.
Starting to re-make some objects sets to try and reduce the number of items and GRF files.

Today I was able to delete the AuzObjectsPre1900 and move all those objects into AuzTownObjects and AuzTownObjectsAddOns.
If AuzObjectsPre1900 was deleted, why is it still getting updates? Did I miss an announcement? :)

Hi, friend!
Despite the difficulties you have with the internet, you have great ideas! And even better creations! It's just great!
Thanks for that. And I wish you to solve the problem as soon as possible. You don't have to go to the library anymore ;-)

I wish you a nice day

When I make something and after find what might be a better way I change the version numbers for my own personal use. I keep the older version just in case new idea not as good as I thought. :D

No uploads today for you guys and gals. Maybe tomorrow might have something as working on shading as mentioned by Quast65 with the apartment buildings.

Cheers all

Hope the are ok.

Indeed improved, cheers!

EDIT:
However...
After looking at it again after a good nights sleep, I do think that the texturing could be a bit more visible/obvious.
Especially on the light/bright colored buildings.
I dont know if you use a layer for that, if so, make it at least 25% less see-thru and see how that looks.

Especially the grey roofs of the shops need a lot more visible texturing.
its too clean ;-)
