Too many to list

it should be
Gondrong wrote:How do I revert back to 2.5 after using nightly?
before you run configurator rename your ttdpatch.cfg to ttdpatch2_5.bak and move it to another folder. Then use configurator to make a new cfg for the nightly.
When you want to go back, rename the nightly cfg to ttdpatchnight.bak and move it to the other folder. Then move your 2.5 back into your ttdx game folder and rename it back to ttdpatch.cfg

The ones that 2.6 adds to the end of your config, or marks with "**** New bits ****", after you run "ttdpatchw -!T- -W ttdpatch.cfg".
Alternatively: The ones that 2.5 complains about after generating a config with 2.6 and then loading that config in 2.5.

This is not entirely necessary. You can have all files in one folder by renaming the files for one version (.exe, .cfg) to something unique (e.g. with "2.5" or so in the name) and the nightly version to something else )(like "2.6n"), and starting one or the other with a corresponding .bat or .cmd file which consists of one line like this:
Code: Select all
ttdpatchw.25b.exe -C ttdpatch.25b.cfg -Xn newgrfw.cfg
With the -Xn switch, you can specify a newgrf.cfg, just in case you have different Newgrfs for the Beta and the Nightly version.

Hmm, I seem to have managed to break ctrl-building of stations.
I can't get it to happen reliably, but when ctrl-building station tiles, it started complaining that the ground wasn't flat, or something was in the way. Eventually I put my 1x1 station tile onto a nice big flat bit of land, and it turned into a large airport.

did it work like an airport?
was it as cheap as regular station tiles???
if so; I WANNA BREAK IRREGULAR STAATIONS!

Me too, But I get bus stops. I have investigated a bit, seems to only happen with a large number of stations on map, late in game with AI building it's usual silly number of short routes.
It is not repeatable, keep trying and eventually you get a rail station.
I also have had warnings about too many airports while building railway stations, and got a bus stop once when building a dock.
A quick work around is to build while paused, nearly always builds the right sort of station.

I was getting it in a new game, with the first station built.

That should be a lot easier to find and fix then, I was thinking overflows in the station list or something equally nasty.
It's been there for a few builds now, I think I'm on my 3rd or 4th game since I first noticed the glitch.

Listening to all this, I must say I can't build any industries anywhere even though I should, (according to my setup). Message is always: 'Can't construct this industry type here, site unsuitable'. with a (Food processing plant)
I tried every where else, with no luck ...I could prospect for a mine, and a diamond mine turned up.....I have no AI implemented and a limited amount of stations. Latest nightly patch too. But the problem was there with Patch 2.5 beta 9... that is the first patch I tried..and other patches are the same. This does not concur with what I am led to believe.

Is there anything else that you can tell us about or show us?
Which climate are you playing in?
Which version of the patch are you using?
Could you attach your patch configuration file?
Which grf's are you using?
Could you attach your newgrf configuration file?
Is this a new game or a saved game or a scenario?
Unfortunately "according to my setup" tells us absolutely nothing as we are unable to tunnel into your computer at this time.
What is your setup?

Ah.. hmm.
In 1512 with the new sprite sorter on, if you build a bridge more than a couple of tiles off the ground, the bridge deck shows in front of the upper parts of the bridge, as well as in front of any vehicles on the bridge...

Pikkabird: This will be fixed in the next nightly, thanks for pointing it out

Bridges are good, but there's another one: tram tracks on roads are displaying over vehicles.
Edit: also, higher bridge superstructures can display in front of trees or buildings built on the tile in front of them.

In the attached savegame, attempting to ctrl-build a station (either as a new station, or attaching to an existing one) builds an airport.

Wallyweb: I'm using the Temperate climate.
TTDPatch 2.6 0 r1486(windows)
Have tried TTDPatch 2.5 beta 9 (oct 29, 2006).
Using SAC's INFRA-Region (2006,10,13) Senario.
Just found out this is for TTDLX game play, If this is the problem I apologise.
I have lost industries due to lack of use so I'm pretty sure this is not the limitation causing the problem. Using PB_UKRSI.GRF and PB_UKRS.GRF with CARGOSETW.GRF.
Thanks for your time. Sandy (Tenderwheels)
