Discouraged???? Never. Didn't think it could be down but thought I would ask anyhow.
Changing consists after stations

If you did include 'go to' depot after unloading at a station and then return to the station, and then changed the consists while it was in the depot quickly - it would certainly be what u want - but it would consume tooooooo much time and make life dreadful-
Hence couldnt there be a sign cheat to change consists just like there is one to plant trees???

Something I haven't spotted here, but might be kinda cool if its possible. Diagonal stations. And then, if possible, a way to connect them to straight stations using a sort of corner piece. It's more of a cosmetic thing really, because it wouldn't serve any really useful purpose - although it would mean that you could build stations in places that are hard to reach with the conventional station. And it'd look nifty, IMO.

Perhaps as difficult as diagonal road, but usefull

Impossible I'm afraid. When does the station know it has to use a connect piece? It would require new sprites that don't override others and therefore require adding something. Besides, the take a lot of space, and you must try to avoid diagonal (or actually, horizontal and vertical) railroads, as the town can't lay roads over them and thus expand.

Ah, pity, I could see some mifty looking station terminals with that. Ah well. Has anyone suggested double track? I'm sure I saw it somewhere.

I'm afraid that's impossible as well. Same impossible to add things problem I'm afraid. But of course I'm no Patch Developer so who knows!

doubletrack? what in the hell do you mean?
Sorry but I really don't understand it,
maybe to much in patching last day

I think he means two diagonal tracks next to each other on one square, like with the vertical and horizontal tracks.

I don't get it, how should this work? one square two tracks, try to connect them with other vertical and horizontal tracks, make me a graphic so I can understand what you mean ...
-edit-
(yeah, I will read all your stupid suggestions and I will sometimes reply if I have time and I am in the right mod to post there.)
-edit 2/3-
(And I like the F1 Key because otherwise my debuger goes mad,
and I use it sometimes if I reconstruct A LOT if I have no room for "backup" tracks.
I played 3 months TTO Demo(2 years gameplay ) before I get my first full TTO, so sometimes I use F1 to make things very quickly. Somethings you never get away

That's why it's impossible.

You don't have to read them, if you don't reply , then they die

Actually I like the fact in TTD that you have to worry about the empty railcars getting back to wherever they came from to be refilled. This is much more realistic than magically transmuting the way the do in RRT. A real railroad has empty vehicles wandering around all over the place. Although in a real railroad you don't usually have a permanent train of engine and cars that doesn't change. But it would be just too complicated to play if you had to be traffic manager and manifest all the raailcars, make up trains, etc. Realistic but aggravating.

General not very easy to program and how should the user interface look for that in a Game.

I wonder what his suggestion was.

A few suggestions:
- Would it be possible to add to the localauthority-window a remark that mentions the date
that the "Buy exclusive transport rights" is about to expire?
Now it is almost impossible to tell when to renew this.
- Would it be possible to close both of the local authority windows, while closing just one of them?
- Would it also be possible to add a newsreport stating the introduction of the euro?
- Would it be possible to move the station construction window, aswell as the depot construction window
to the topleft or topright location in the main window. Now they are mostly in the way of constructing.
