I don't understand this request. It's a graphics problem in the newgrf. Why would loading it in ottd trunk have any impact whatsoever?
And yes, one of the frames still flashes when used in trunk.

I tried to see if perhaps there was a newer version on bananas, but FIRS appears to have disappeared from the list.

Because I don't know how all patches and patchpacks work and I don't think I need to. The bug report itself stated that the patch in use modifies animation behaviour. OpenTTD trunk is clean of any of those modifications unknown to me. Therefore, asking to test in a vanilla environment is preferred.

I'll open a bug report about this and look into it later.

EDIT: I can't see any flashing colours on FIRS 0.7.0-beta1 with OpenTTD r22893. Are you using an older version of FIRS? If so, you can get the latest one from http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/releases/LATEST/

I can't confirm that either. All seems fine with OpenTTD and FIRS nightlies.

Your translation has been included into the FIRS repository and will be part of the upcoming nightly. Thanks for your effort :-)

Did I give you the Croatian translation yet? Or does it need some kind of updating?

Once upon a time: yes.

The current status of existing translations can always be checked at http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/nig ... LATEST/log
For croation see: http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/firs/nig ... an.lng.log - needs a bit of an update ;-)

I think I found a bug:
I switched the "Allow secondary industries to close" parameter to "On", and I had serviced secondary industries close down, despite the description stating, that only unserviced industries may close.
NewGRF list is attached.

As it turns out the file is in windows-latin-1 encoding and not in UTF-8.

Still, I guess I got it converted. Find the translation in the upcoming nightly.

@macee: Thanks. We shall look at that.

Really sorry, I thought I've selected the right option.

EDIT: It seems it screws up some Croatian characters after all (from that picture you've attached). I.e. it should be written "Povećanje", notice the "c" kind of character.

I'll look into that once again.

EDIT2: Tried saving it again in UTF-8 but I can't tell if I've done it right this time.

Hi guys,

Here's the updated Italian text.
Could you please tell me if the accents look right?

I fear the croatian file still is not valid UTF-8: "Language file "lang/croatian.lng" contains non-utf8 characters. Ignoring (part of) the contents".

Notepad++ still reports the croatian file as ASCII, not UTF8.

EDIT: here's a converted version; I don't have time to apply it to the sources right now.

And again the croatian characters are screwed up. I don't get it. Is it possible that it gets saved as ASCII and not UTF-8 exactly because those characters? :?

I tried saving it in Notepad, WordPad, Word... I'm out of ideas.

I.e. these are the right ones...
Š, š = sh
Č, č = "harder" ch
Ć, ć = "softer" ch
Ž, ž = zh

[Voy 1] As a sanity check, Foobar's version does download fine as a UTF-8 here. If that version isn't arriving right when you try to download it, that narrows it down to a config problem on your computer, or weaknesses in the editors you've tried.

You may well find it helpful to obtain a copy of Notepad++ - it's free, and it's much more capable than Notepad or Wordpad. http://notepad-plus-plus.org/

And I believe it's easier to tell what encoding a document is in in Notepad++, but as I recall that's quite a well-hidden setting in Notepad and Wordpad.

OK, thanks for the idea, I'll try Notepad++.

EDIT: OK, edited it in Notepad++ and hopefully this time...

Hello!

Updated Serbian translation.
(I hope that ##plural X means the no. of item in the plural list  )

use the same plural type as openttd's language file (http://vcs.openttd.org/svn/export/22950 ... erbian.txt)

you'll see that file has

Code: Select all

##plural 6
a list of all plural types can be found here: http://wiki.openttd.org/OpenTTDDevBlack ... es#Pragmas

Alternatively all plural forms are also found in the NewGRF wiki: http://newgrf-specs.tt-wiki.net/wiki/St ... ural_forms - the OpenTTD language files are authorative, though.
