A little taster of the dockoverlapping tiles. The ships are at actual docks, but as you can see, each type of cargo can have it's own type of dock.

But what will make this more interesting is... Passengerterminals! So on/off ramps for ferries, highclass terminals for cruiseships, etc etc! I'll be working on that later.

I just want to say, what you've been doing is awesome. Definitely top-of-the-list material for ship transport :D That said, I also can't wait for these passenger terminals, as I'm sure they will be just as amazing!

I was wondering though, are there any proper cruise ships for OpenTTD yet?

MB's NewShips has a sort of cruise ship in it, the "Brown" passneger liner  There was also talk of including cruise ships in FISH, but someone has to draw them first.

Quast65, I have to commend you on this set. Finally, a proper oil loading jetty! :D

There's also a steam liner in Sailing Ships: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 80#p995574

Ah, I guess the "Brown" passenger liner is the closest to a modern cruise ship then. It was a bit difficult to find though, thank goodness for translations :) For large maps, a nice set of cruise ships like that could make a nice addition ;) Maybe Quast65's creations will spark enthusiasm for such a set.... :D

car loading ramps and passenger ramps for ferries could be a giggle, problem is getting them in the right place.

Thnx all for your kind remarks!

So another update ;-)

- A new version of the dock-changing GRF, this includes the stripped version now (so just an empty ISR tile on the slope and "nothing" in the water)

- A new version of the ISR-objects, includes the dock overlapping tiles. To use the dock-overlapping tiles, you should have the above Dock changing GRF loaded.

Not really, with dockoverlapping you can make customized docks. So each type of ship can have it's own type of dock. Agreed, it doesn't work when you have different types of ships to the same dock, but I'll see if I can also make an universally looking one, without car loading ramps. Still, better than nothing, right?

hi,

looks great ive reinstalled open TTD to see if it would fix the palette problem with the PINK lol well the reinstall sorted it and looks epic. thanks for this Grf.

ferry and cruise ship ports would be awesome

is there anyone one making a new ship grf with more ships in cos with this Grf of yours more ships would be amazing and is it possible to have the ship larger bigger scale or is that not possible in TTD??

Hiya!

Glad you got rid of the graphicproblems!

There are a couple of shipsets. Most are as far as I know not currently being worked on, except the last one:

http://grfcrawler.tt-forums.net/index.p ... st&cid=103

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 20#p729337

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 9#p1009476

Having bigger scaled ships causes a couple of problems, especially when ships go into harbours there are clipping problems (when it seems like ships are hitting the walls). So this is as big as it gets ;-)

First of all, it's not my grf. It's the lighthouse GRF.

Secondly, have you put this GRF in a running game? It is not recommended to do that, try it in a "clean" game.

Thirdly, more info please, what version of OpenTTD do you have?

And finally, I see that you are playing in 2128. Maybe the lighthouse GRF has a date availability set, so it might not be available after a certain playingdate.

And on-topic again:

I've made tiles for the Car-carrier. I know that in real life the (un)loading goes from the backside, but that is only possible to mimic in 2 views. And ships leaving/entering the port will run over that. So I chose for the side to (un)load.

This set is becoming one of the best new objects sets. Maybe it's nice to have rounded corners instead of 45 degree corners?

You should use the following GRF too:
http://www.simuscape.net/simutalk/viewt ... ?f=22&t=45

Makes the rock foundations the same as the piers.
