How will this look for the tall one?
Wondering about the radars on the ground if should be on towers?
Be a few days before I can work on them again. Shopping day today and train riding Thursday.
Would it be possible to make it little bit more dark green? Also would it be possible to paint antennas (white circles) in green too and remove red lights. Hiding first :)
Regarding radar, they frequently are on ground, not on towers. If it possible, please remove fences surrounding radar See picture:

Did the antennas and radars.

I thought the disks on the antennas had to be white so they would receive signals better?
Never seen any of a different colour.
You will find them in "Security" section of the Object Selection Menu. I also moved the Guards Towers to the Security section as well and wonder if these could be green?

If want any more done to these it be after the Easter break as want to fix some problems that others have reported and get rid of some double up objects .. plus enjoy Easter.

Cheers

Many thanks Garry! It looks really nice! I'll probably take your invitation and ask one additional military tower, but after holidays as you suggested. Enjoy Eater!

Alan

Send what you thinking of later next week.

I seen smaller dishes on roof tops and top of vehicles that are different colours, but never big ones up on towers.

Tomorrow I look at fixing some of those problems you found. Wondering should all my objects with water ice over in winter?

On Sunday the Easter Bunny comes and leave Easter eggs for the kids and any one good like me. Just wonder will the Easter Bunny come at your place.

Cheers all

I think that none of your normal water objects should freeze over (thats why I highlighted those in a previous post).
Because you can use them to overlay actual sea/lake and those dont freeze over in winter.

However, I do think it would be nice to add some (more) in the Ice-submenu (so that people are aware that they freeze over).
But that is something more for after the fixes you have planned (also it is better to see then how much extra room you have in certain GRFs).
Just wonder will the Easter Bunny come at your place.
Will be at a closed door then...
Off on holidays to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) next week 8)
So, no new reports/requests from me untill the 20th, so also a little vacation for you too

Trust me to read it the wrong way

Could do that .. any suggestion from you and others on any. One thing I was thinking of if can do a dog sled. Maybe a team of dogs with a sled in toe.
But that is something more for after the fixes you have planned (also it is better to see then how much extra room you have in certain GRFs).
I think I can free up a lot of IDs. I have car parking stations in both AuzTownObjects and also in AuzCarParkObjects. I think these could be removed from the AuzTownObjects.
Off on holidays to Fuerteventura (Canary Islands) next week 8)
Hope you have a great time .. I have a 4 day break coming up 28 April to 1st May as have 4 days of watching steam trains including 4 of them running parallel to each other.

Cheers pal

Just to give you early warning that there are some BIG changes happening.
Starting to re-make some objects sets to try and reduce the number of items and GRF files.

Today I was able to delete the AuzObjectsPre1900 and move all those objects into AuzTownObjects and AuzTownObjectsAddOns.

To make room in AuzTownObjects I joined several object sets into multi-selection (random) tile sets. It produces 46 spare IDs which I filled some with objects from AuzObjectsPre1900 such as the:
* Courtyards (Horse Stables)
* Old West Town Buildings

The AuzTownObjectsAddOns has the remaining objects from the AuzTownObjectsAddOns.

Hope have them finished in a few days and then I start on the Water Object Sets.

Cheers

Just in case you want to make an animated version of the Radar, here are the 12-step graphics with the fence removed:

We should be able to do that.
Going to fiddle with these a bit more.

Mine have just the 2 directional antennas .. but see in real some have 4.
Putting 4 on the tower easy enough, but they blend in with each other so need to make a few adjustments.
Not just want to do that for military, but also the railways in Australia uses these towers as well and some have the 4.

We could give that a try .. wonder if put a set on top of a building and it can be a weather station

Got a bit more to do to the AuzTownObjects today. Hope get it finished so can work on the water tomorrow.

Cheers

EDIT:
Curiosity got the better in me and just had to try an idea with the communication towers.
Made the a bit taller and re-drew the directional antennas. Not sure yet how they will look in green.

Some more BIG changes happening.

Code: Select all

These BIG changes will upset the odd saved game that in progress so best to wait till you start a new game before you use these new updates unless you like repairing things.
Changelog:
The following GRF will be deleted.
Objects from these sets will be moved to other GRFs.
* AuzObjectsPre1900 (Moved to AuzTownObjects and AuzTownObjectsAddOns).
* AuzCarParkAddOns (Moved to AuzCarParksObjects)

Alterations to some objects:
* The Airport objects that was in AuzCarParkAddOns been moved to AuzTownObjectsAddOns.
* The Airport objects in AuzBoatingObjects been moved to AuzTownObjectsAddOns.

When I finish these changes .. they will NOT have any new objects in them .. at least not yet.

Tell you more as it comes to hand.

Add set of Communication Towers. They been painted green .. but I think the discs on the tower should be a different colour .. maybe a grey as they blend in too much with the back ground.

AuzTownObjects (Original)

Discovered a Playground Equipment set I started working on weeks ago and finished last night.

I put them in the original version of AuzTownObjects so you be able to use them prior to the new AuzTownObjects set becoming available.

These replace the Playground Swings .. I kept the ID so hope these not upset Swing sets you have already installed in your game.
In this image .. the top left is the original set. Top right are some new pieces .. slippery dips and Monkey Bars.
The bottom left and right sets made some in bright colours. On left has swings, seesaw and sand pit. On right slippery dip, monkey bars and merry-go-round.

These extra Playground Equipment hope will add some more variety to where you have parks in your games.

AuzFakeRailsAndTrainsObjects

This is a old set I did way back in 2016 of fake railway lines with Australian New South Wales freight wagons and coaches.
I had lost the source so forgot about it and today going through some old CDs that I found hiding on me. On it are some of the old projects I did between 2015 and 2018.

So thought I would revive it again.

The idea was to make some fake marshaling yards like in this image.
Image fake Tracks
Image fake Tracks
Fake Tracks.png (72.37 KiB) Viewed 6441 times
It also has Survey Markers so you can map out where you want to lay your railway tracks and not cost you an arm and a leg.

I hope eventually do work on this again and make it a bit easier to find the pieces and more variety of rolling stock.

Hope you like.

EDIT:

Forgot to upload the source in case some other codes might like to use and change the freight wagons and coaches to suit the trains they use in their games.

EDIT EDIT:
Forgot to mention .. when I first made this set I added the Fake Main lines and Survey Markers to use in Scenario Editor. I would place these where railways lines should go to help prevent towns building where they not suppose to. When start to pay the game just a matter of replacing these Fake Railway lines and Survey Markers with proper railway lines. The Fake Tracks are rusty so you know they not been used.
