Good point. I don't actually use any ECS-schema industry grfs (far as I know). I do love PBI, although CanSet doesn't play nicely with it (to be accurate, you can't have CanSet industries and PBI). AArrrgh. Industry chains are a minor mess! Dan - when are you guys shipping NAIS ;)

cheers,

Andy

Looks coaster sized: I'd like to have a crack at painting the bridge superstructure - but I'm kind of busy right now with work, and should be doing the Heavy Equipment set. In fact, I'm spending too much time on the forums, I might be quieter for the next week or so. Keep on going though ;)

cheers,

Andy

As long as you also provide a .png file I'm fine. :D

my published pcx are ready for code [ttd win palette], so why there is a .png teaser and big .pcx file :)

I don't want a .png teaser, but a .png which contains exactly the same as the .pcx including all sprites.

Less than 255, I should think.
Is the limit 255? That's good :D

Thank you, Zephyris :) Do you have any time for my request about small ship? I know that 'if you want to feed the hungry - give him a fishing rod and not fish'. But nfo coding above my ability :)

update: Zephyris - look at your message counter

Perhaps coding with GRFMaker is easy enough, though I don't think GRFMaker supports the new engine pool (and thus is limited to 11 ShipIDs). You could make parts of code though.

probably yes. But i need different loading stages, different cargoes and etc. + i'm tired a bit :)

GRFMaker can do loading stages and different cargos (livery depending on cargo type). It's even pretty straightforward.

Yes, and i know how. So lead, i can help you if you want.
And GRFmaker don' support engine pool, but you can make more than one GRF, and they'll work in game with engine pool correctly.

Good point, OpenTTD can load multiple GRFset together if the correct switch is enabled.

But ehm... buttercup has offered to code. It's best that only 1 person codes the whole set. Don't be impatient guys :)

I have started coding so there might be a test grf later this evening (if you're lucky).

Since there are so many different cargoes for each ship (so far), shall I separate them into different ships depending on cargo class (bulk, liquid, piece goods etc)?

(it has occurred to me (perhaps too late) that I may have taken on more than I can manage. If this turns out to be the case, it looks like there are plenty of other people with more experience willing to code the set (and they'll probably do a better job of it)). I shall do my best for now though.
