Anybody with knowledge about coding that could help out AndersI with the coding for new cargo support for this set?

I've always been a big fan of your graphics - probably the best looking TTD trains, even beating Mr. Blunck and Pikka - so this would be an extremely good idea. Fact that I haven't played with it since your very first "taster"-grf makes me want a new release to start a full game with.

I guess you could ask XeryusTC, he's one of those coders that's not really "attached" to a large set - although I'm unsure he already coded trains before, but I know he did a great job at Red*Star's stations so it's probably worth a shot. If he's busy or unavailable, perhaps ask Pikka for advice and a new, inexperienced coder to "grow up" through this set. It's always good for a coder to start somewhere, and having this set developed through your own progress is probably the best base a new coder could have.
Then again, just suggesting a bit.

a litle thing is if you start a game 2012 all engines exept y3 and y1 gets disabled in 2013.

Good to see this thread revived! Even with the current number of trains and liveries, it's already one of my favourite sets. I would however like to adress a number of coding issues which currently limit the set's playability - in my opinion.
1) The loading speeds for the passenger trains are low, even for the higher than usual capacities, for example compared to DBxl. This complicates the use of the timetabling feature. Loading times along the lines of DBxl would be much appreciated.
2) The running cost calculation of EMU's. Since e.g. an X50 is being constructed by buying multiple 'engines', the running costs for the X50 is significantly higher than the costs for a locomotive hauled train, while I would expect that EMU's would be more suitable to branch lines. This effect could of course be compensated easily by lowering the running costs for the EMU engines.
I hope you will consider these revisions, especially since they will only involve minor changes to the code (i.e. only different numerical values, I assume).

Glad to hear someone's using the set!
As stated somewhere in the beginning of the thread, no real game balancing has been done yet (neither loading speed nor running costs), so all your points are valid. I'm having a hard time fitting this set into my real life time schedule, as there are so many things I want to do, and so little time to do them.
Just some comments:
1) Loading speed
Most Swedish trains *do* have a very slow loading speed (few doors and narrow corridors)
2) Running costs
As every car in an EMU have engines, I think it's natural that they have higher running cost than than simple wagons?

well wath this pack needs is comuter trains and/or subways. for exampel we got xoa6 before X1. and can you releas the tank wagons? right now i must have the dutch train set to get a tank wagon

This is my favorite set of all time

I just wish it would get updated more often!
Would love to see the DM3 with LKABs livery, and also some different paintings of the RC locomotions, the TB loco and yeah the X55 ofc!

Thanks! I also wish it could be updated more often, but I have to share my available time between 'must do' and 'want to do', and there's so much I 'want to do'
Links/pictures for the liveries you're talking about?

Here are some of my favorites on the Swedish railroad (and a few wagons). I tried to keep the list short, but it was to hard
DM3 in LKAB's livery
Tb
Td
185/241/El19/Re
Hector Rail 242
RC3 SJ Black
RC6 Veolia grey/red
RC4P with a big Green & Cargo on the other side
X60
X61/X62
and ofc X55 SJ 3000
Hbins
R4 Red
AB7 Black
Also I think it's unfortunate that the ealier trains expire in the later years and cant be build anymore!

Nice graphics.

If I ever feel like playing a foreign map, I'll give these a try.

There's
a setting for that...

Sorry for my late reply. I suppose for loading speeds one would have to find some balance between realism and gameplay. For example a higher loading speed for commuter trains like the X40 and other EMU's? I assume this would be both realistic and would enhance gameplay since trains currently spend more time in the stations than on (short) commuter routes.
And yes, the cars of an EMU should be more expensive than the unmotorized cars but at least here in Holland, operating EMU's is more financially efficient than operating locomotive hauled trains, especially on shorter branch lines. In the current set, this would never be the case since a 4 car EMU is close to 4 times as expensive as a loco hauled train (i.e. the equivalent of having 4 loco's in a consist). These trains will therefore be quite unprofitable in games with CargoDist or YACD.

DM3 in LKAB's livery
In the works..

Too specialized
When I have drawn a T44 that doesn't look exactly like T43 (which is already there), I'll think about another livery for it...
I have a Hr 141 (don't remember if it's in the released set or not). Difficult to see a difference in TTD scale to a 242. The green livery is put on the wish list (primarily for the 141).

- Image58.jpg (21.4 KiB) Viewed 3705 times
The black one is difficult to do well in TTD, the Veolia livery looks cool. I've added it to the wishes list.
There's already a GC RC6, I'm reluctant to do another...
On the wish list.
It's the boring new SJ gray. Maybe... but it will look exactly like a gray X2000...
Definitely on the wish list. Thanks!
Maybe - it doesn't add anything to the game (or the train capacity).
Same comment as for RC6 black. I won't do this unless I do the RC6...
Also I think it's unfortunate that the ealier trains expire in the later years and cant be build anymore!
As already said, there's a setting for that, both in TTDP and OTTD.

Since you managed to make D and F look different in this scale, this shouldn´t be out of reach. They would probably only look very similar in their orange/dark blue livery. So, T 44 just a little longer and in a light blue (or orange) livery? However, each of the T43 seem to have their unique livery today

There had been a small shunter (Z66?) in a invisiblesomething.grf from you, you could include it as a regular loco.

@AndersI I'm glad I could help out with some ideas for your set.
The DM3 looks really great. I have to make another game once your release an update of your set!!

. Its really nice to play with it combined with the Swedish Houses, NuTracks and some other various grfs on the Swedish scenario map.
Right now i'm bulding a japanese network with all the JP sets on a heightmap of Japan.
Keep up the good work!

I think that was actually my try at a T43 in 'realistic' size... Anyway, the Z66 would only run inside stations, so what's the use for it in TTD?

Why not the Swedish rails?

The looks of the Swedish rail is the best, but I like the speed limits with NuTracks.
Is there any way to make speed limits with the Swedish Rail?

Yes, you can do that with all Railsets.
If you make a timetable for the trains, you can order them to go with a specified maximum speed between two stations.
I have never tried this function, because I like the NuTracks approch better.
