Hmm,
Oddly, the planeset does not show special company colours in the buy menu (they do show them otherwise) - why would that be?
Edit: oh, and a bug - the planeset seems to "early retire" train vehicles - specifically, train ID 2E.

If I understand you correctly, it works for me. (See screenshot.)

Talk to Patchman, not me. There are no train action 0s in the PlaneSet. (Unless my search for "\t 00 00" missed one.)

You do understand me correctly.
And to be more precise, every aircraft gets the "freight aircraft" colour scheme in the buy menu. This is with both a73 and a73f1

I can confirm it happens with A73f1 but only with v1.1 of the planeset.

More info on loco 2E:
The locomotive appears fine in a new game, but if I load a game with the planeset active, or click "Apply" in the newgrf window with the planeset active, it disappears from the buy menu (and reappears if I turn the planeset off). Actual existing locomotives don't seem to suffer any ill effects - they still have the correct stats and graphics with the planeset loaded.
This is with planeset 1.1. — 1.0 does not eat the locomotive, and displays the correct colours in the buy menu.

Ah, it's a bug in the patch. When determining the default cargo type (which determines whether it's a freight plane or not), it forgot to check the cargo class based refitting. Since 1.1, the regular refit mask is unused, so this doesn't work.
[edit] And the train loco problem... well, let's just say plane and ship early retirement never worked. (They set train early retirement instead. Doh.)

Edit: you must have edited while I was posting.
Okay. Just for the record, it "retires" locomotives 2E and 0B.

Hi,
Sorry to interup u guys but just a question .

The Boeing 747s, the An-124 Ruslan, and the Bell V-22 Osprey were all rendered, not hand-drawn, and, as a result they (especially the 747s) look rather different from the other planes.
They look much better in the original liveries.

Hi might be a dumb question but how do I use the liveries on the planes that varios authors have drawn up ie some planes can have different airline liveries
is it a ttdpatch switch?

We don't have livery version since all liveries haven't been painted yet.

Is anybody working on painting more liveries? Maybe it would be a good idea to code the ones we have, as an advertisement for the ones we need.

I've merged the 747s and Chinook into my local version, but I'd forgotten that there were others on the tracking table.

OK, merging liveried sprites.
The following problems have appeared:
- Concorde: BA1 and BA3 are not sufficiently different to be able to tell which appears on airliners.net, and even if they were, only one of them does. What is the correct usage of the Concord's three BA liveries? (random, build date, current date, most recent service date, &c.)
- A320: airliners.net has (AFAICT) no pictures of the A320 wearing Germanwing raccoon colors. What is the correct usage of this livery?
- A380: What are the names of the liveries here? (I can tell that 12..18 is Lufthansa, but what are the others?)
- Other liveries: If you drew sprites that are not found on the tracking table, I do not have them; please (re)post them. (Unless your name is Grigory1 and the sprites in question were sent to me about a month ago.)
As for translations, I would prefer not to translate the airplane and airline names, but " (solid)" and " (liquid)" probably should be translated. If you do not consider the airline names below to be appropriate, feel free to suggest corrections.
The object is to use a reasonably short, common-use name for the airline/company.
Here is the full list of livery-indicator strings:

I can help you with the A380 liveries. They are, from the top:
Airbus development livery
Lufthansa
Air France
FedEx
UPS
Obviously the last two are cargo. I would say the first one should appear only if you are offered the A380 as an experimental exclusive model and you buy one then.
If someone wanted to draw Singapore Airlines or Quantas livery, that would be nice. Or Emirates?

Research suggests:
Union Jack Livery: 1976-1985
Landor Livery: 1985-1997
Chatham Dockyard Livery: 1997 - 2003
I imagine Concordes were repainted into new liveries as a matter of priority, so perhaps last service date?
