Hello, i need to ask if you could do some objects (mainly industrial and car parking sets) with overlaps, to cover OTIS industries. Right now i kinda struggle with the few objects i have from you and Fridaemon.

As Kamnet said (viewtopic.php?p=1257179#p1257179) Farm objects are great candidate to that (crops, flowers, silos, livestock, etc...). Industry Objects also has many objects that would be very usefull to have overlaping (Oilwells, pipelines, factories, etc...).

Glad you like that idea. I started on them today .. found a few industries I had with town objects and transferring those to Auz Industry and also found some Commercials in Auz Industry that I will transfer to Aus Towns.

Throw us some suggestions of object pieces that like to see overlap. I could add them to the Auz Industry Objects Add On set as it has room for more. Auz Farm Objects is full no room to add more.

Cheers

EDIT
:

Curiosity "WolfRamXx" how would it affect your game in progress if I made some alterations to the AuzFarmObjects to make room for more objects in that set? What I plan to do is combine some objects into a multi-select set to free up some IDs. This could mean some objects you used will change to the new object using that ID. For instance at moment there are 5 cattle truck objects .. these can be combined into one object as a multi-select. This will free up 4 IDs to be used with something new I can add.

Cheers again

Basicly the objects from Factories tab would be allready big help. Objects from Oil Mining tab: Drill Platforms and Tanks, Oil and Gas Wells, from Utilities tab: Bore Water, Sawage 4 Multi Tiles, from Buidlings tab: Steel Mill extensions. That should be enough to work with.

I dont have much progress, so no problem on my end. In worst case i can start over.

In case it would be possible to add the overlaping objects on the farm set, the harvested field, and field with flowers is enough for me.

Been working on the AuzFarmObjects today.

Progress so far:
* Before I started the work to this set to day I had no spare IDs to add new farm objects.
* So I been combining objects into multi-select sets to spare up some IDs.
* I now have 42 spare IDs
* So be no problem adding overlaping objects on the farm set

Some overlapping ideas:

As WolfRamXx mentioned harvested fields and flower fields.
Also look at some other crops and these images will give some other objects that can overlap.

Your work is great!
I don't want to be rude, but would something like a military barracks be possible? Or the hospital grounds?

AuzFarmObjects:
Subject: OTIS Overlaps

I been making changes with the AuzFarmObjects so I could add some overlap pieces for the OTIS Industry set.

If you have a previous game going with AuzFarmObjects I suggest you do NOT use this set in those games unless you want to declare a flood and repair the damages.

To fit the OTIS Overlaps into the Farm set had to make a lot of changes so many objects now have new IDs and many are multi-select objects now.

Here a image of some of the overlaps. I did 8 so far and might do another 1 or 2. After testing these I realize the Farm Houses could be overlapped if I use the clothes lines and back yards from the AuzTownObject sets so hope do that in the next day or so.

In the mean time if like to try what I done here the game file ..
But please be warned it will damage farms already built with previous farm object sets.

If all goes well will do some OTIS overlaps for the Industrial Object sets over the weekend

Your welcome.

Hope you all don't mind a update as added houses to the overlaps.

But the overlaps closer to camera are being covered by objects under them (OTIS included), the overlaps further from camera are working fine. I asume its due to how OTTD works.

I should have checked .. but didn't think that would happen .. What I will do tomorrow is change those to face further from camera with a bit more variety.

Appreciate your report.

Cheers pal

Thanks! I meant military buildings, machines, tanks, etc.
But actually I can think of trying to build such a military complex from your available graphics.
Have a nice day :-)

I reccomand using flatbed trucks, tippers, tankers and full bed trucks (from Mops Expanded Road Vehicle Set for example) in dark green, brown and grey. You can make at least few military vehicles this way.

Thanks, but I haven't been able to get the graphics Mops Expanded Road Vehicle Set to work yet. I created this this afternoon. But I still have to work on it.

Your got great imagination as looks good what you done.

I haven't coded any vehicles at all yet. All the object vehicles I use are from other peoples work.
Best I could offer be something like this.
Military marching.

These have soldiers are 8 rows and 4 wide. Probably could do a mixture of 4 and 8 wide.

Who else be interested in me making these soldiers and what object set do I put them. And do you have some suggestions with uniform colours?

Fixed  .. overlaps are only on the north side of the main object now. But by doing so it will make the game harder as now have so many overlap designs to choose from :D .
Some new ones are:

Had a look at making some military people on parade.
Would any one else be interested in these in their game :?: .
These are based on Australian Military uniforms.

If I continue with these I will separate the 8 uniform sets into their own tile and have a person out front with his stick to hit any one not marching properly.

The BIG question is if I continue with these what object set be best to place them in?

Cheers
