There's 3 trees in Landscape .3.1 and there are tree uncoded threes by Zephyris here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?p=725378#p725378. There's a total of nine toyland trees, so three more to go. I'd say keep it up!

Ok. I'll try to redo those three ( for sure there'll be at least two ). And here's the one I showed sometime ago. What do you think? Needs tweaking?

It grows from the top down? Nice twist

edit: but maybe nevertheless the earlier stages could be a bit "smaller" than the other ones? Just so you can make out their growth?

I get the feeling that I'm looking at that tree with a horizontal camera, not an isometric camera.

It's toyland. That's why.

Could try that.

I tried as much as I can to make it good. If it looks like that, then I don't know what to fix to make it look better. Really it looked for me like it is in isometric perspective.

@EDIT: Ok. Like Roujin said, I made few changes, so you can see how the tree grows. Is it better?

Maybe if you made the branches into more obvious ovals -- isometrically projected circles and/or cones with circular bases -- instead of having them pretty well approximate lines?

Just wanted to say great work. It will be nice when OTTD can be distributed in fully working order. As much as I'm looking forward to the new graphics system I think its a must to keep a working 8bpp as the default for at least a few years yet.

Here is an updated building set (the plus variant). The houses now accept food in the arctic climate (and temperate too if an industry grf supplies it) and there are a few other minor tweaks.

Better late than never I suppose (was mentioned way back in July; sorry PouncingAnt).

Lol, yay! As luck would have it, I've been away, and just come back to OTTD. Amazing timing there.
I'm really happy to see that grf fixed! Thank you.

The graphics are in openGFX already, it's just that the game currently lacks the functionality to use them.

Bump!

What actually is the current status? I mean, the wiki isn't recent on all fronts. :P

The wiki is pretty accurate IMO. It lists everything still missing from the first three climates and the status of that is exactly the same as a few months back. I currently don't have time to work on the project and the same goes for most of the other people who have worked on it in the past. But don't worry I'll personally make sure that this project gets finished someday. I just can't say when that is, as that fully depends on the amount of people actively working on the project. It could take two months to finish, but just as easy it could take another two years.

Ah okay! Well no worries then. :)
I'll check the wiki. :)

Feel free to ask in the topic every now and then. That keeps it off the second page :D

The second page is a terrible place to be, btw if anyone has any specific requests on the next graphics to be drawn just let me know, I'm starting to get some spare time back!

That's good news indeed. Mine will come back in about two weeks and will then last for about four weeks :D
Zephyris wrote:...any specific requests on the next graphics to be drawn...
Just pick any of your liking from this list. Starting with the buildings would be best IMO.

I have a request. Could somebody do the theater? It's usually the first black box I get and the only one for a while early in the game.
