Those 747 sprites are old which we haven't used for while in main build.

Yes, I thought so. So I guess that was a mistaken screen-shot? But if he's running the planeset, how is it they were still displayed?

The 459 Remix still has the old sprites.

Another thing:
Planeset readme wrote:You need an appropiate drawing program. Windows Paint will not do.
Why will Windows Paint not do? I've always used Paint and still everbody was able to code my graphics correctly.

Yeah! DanMacK uses MSPaint. I use MSPaint, as do many many other pixel painters in this community. MSPaint is perhaps one of the better applications to use. I do however like the GIMP very very much, and I use it quite often allongside MSPaint.

Boo! Lies! Lies lies lies!

Well, I led my thoughts against using MSPaint since it doesn't support JASC palettes unlike PSP or i.Mage. Some graphics files that have been posted into forums seem to have the 256-color palette and some other data in pictures that for instance mine don't have: Is it for painting with Paint/etc. programs? Is Paint able to save in correct pixel format?

krtaylor will hopefully set up the tracking table for liveries so we can track their status. I got the impression that most of the planes haven't got liveries drawn yet so you better not hope for anything groundbreaking too soon.

I did reset the table. I took off all the planes that already have original liveries or don't need them.

There doesn't seem to be any links to the table at Planeset homepage. Intentional?

No*, but if you draw with the correct colors in MS Paint, you can easily copy the sprite into a PCX or something, without any problems.

* AFAIK

Yes, because now we will have more general users visiting the main site, and we don't want to confuse them. Everybody involved in the project knows where the tracking table is, right?

Would someone like to explain the "Retire early" flag I just found from Wiki while browsing it? If a plane life would be 55 years and I gave "Retire early" value of 20 years, would it be purchaseable for 35 years, then disappearing from buy menu but keeping its reliability in "Phase 2" for next 20 years - does it work so?

Yes, that's correct and indeed the intent of that property.

It doesn't play nicely with persistentengines yet, though, but that's an oversight which will be fixed, eventually.

Because of the famous longevity of some airframes, we should make use of this property in the Planeset.

I wished that something like this would eventually surface. It will be implented to next version so you'll have somewhat realistic retirement years too.

Is there an ingame retirement announcement that vehicle x will be purchaseable only for a distinct amount of time, for instance one year? If there isn't, does such feature sound like something to be implemented?

Or some other kind of advice, such as having the train listed in another color (red or orange) in the purchause list

As of this point, no. I asked for it when we started using this feature in the US set, but apparently it's quite difficult. It seems to work OK as it is in the US set, so probably it will do fine here as well.
