Hey, have you Sydneysiders heard of anything more on that new train pictured in ur avatar?
Later
Hey, that's great news!
About the new trains... no word. Apparently they're staying to schedule, and the train will be delivered in the 2010-2013 timeframe.

Walter, I'll thank you here to save you from my German (I don't have to use babelfish, but it's still not that great!!) I look forward to what is to come! How long until the 48's are released?

I totally forgot...
Update 1.2 debugs my stupid mistake in version 1.1. Please, download the V Set and both S Sets again. From now on they can run in 6 carriage units (<M-T-T-M>-T-M>)...

Gents (and ladies if any...),
Walter1940 has been releasing Aussie locos on the fanpage for about a week now, for those of you who haven't seen. Just been released is the NSWGR in various guises, following 40, 42,43, Victorian B class, GM and XPT in Candy and Countrylink schemes. Soon I reckon we'll see a complete Australian set. We'll I hope so.
Catchas later,

there's some real nice locomotives up there now, including the 48 class, and as of today the 82 class (pretty much the only freight locos I ever see, along with the 80 and 81classes)

I finally got my wish with the 48 Class!! The only issue is Walter coded them for a 3 year lifespan. Along with the GM, NR and most of his work.
They are ok, some of them could be a bit higher quality (when you park them next to say, Plastikman's locos).

And if you have more than one locomotive per train, it puts one at each end., and you can't change that. minor issues. Some of them look pretty good though. Someothers... not so much.

yeah, i noticed a few basic coding bugs in the XML's. Probably just trying to rush it out without beta testing.
I have done the same thing, shove it together and push it out only to realize i need a recall.
best way to solve this, beta testing... over all, I am a little disappointed lately.
i have noticed a few times the harder one tries, sometimes the worse it is... (general statement about a bunch of sets, including my own.)

You do that, and I'll mcsmack you! I wasn't saying yours was bad, I was saying his were worse sitting next to yours.

I have never in my life seen a Great Northern GM class bright red, and covered in grey dots! It's like it's had a lotta welding done on it or something!
You can change it in the XML to put all the loco's at the front, I'll PM you the txt file on how to when I find it.

Tis pretty simple. You've got a good point there. I just sat there, and said "screw this", and did them all at once, plus changed all the years and increased the power of a couple.

I bet you increased the power of your beloved 48 class

I'll probably do the same.
I sat there and said "screw this" and didn't change any specs. I might change them when a few more are out. Or when I can be bothered.
EDIT: Ok, I've done it now. I gave in

. haven't changed any stats yet, I'll do that later sometime.

Can't wait to try these out, I've been waiting patiently for an update to the set. The cityrail set is one of my most frequently used mods. Nothing like some stock closer to home, eh?
Is there any news on the tulloch trailers or any single deck cars for another revision later down the track?
And I noticed the link to "Oceania Trains" over at
http://www.locomods.eu, and they look promising. Can't wait!
