BTW, could the author of new water and shores fix default TTD sprites too? As you can see I used them as resort ground tile. It looks good with default shores, but needs fixing for new one.

Well, the one in my front garden does!
George: Please fix that typo "Torists" -> "Tourists".

There are more than this one. I´ve just taken a look on the german texts and there are dozens of them. George, what would be the best way to fix them?
["garbage"]
@George
What do you think, is it a good idea to report the exact values of registers and put a formula to documentation, or it should be hidden (the player will not know exactly what happens in the industry and will see only output change next month)?
I don´t think it´s a good idea the way it is now. Either make it configurable (if you really want a "debug mode") or get rid of it.

So I should get rid of it

That is good, however the way it currently is I am only seeing your original tourist office building in 1921.
George wrote:Trees would be fixed later (test Goodrich Ariel for example).
Be nice to see. Just a thought though. The building is more appropriate for Tropics. Perhaps Oz might be up to putting different skins on it for the other climates ... something Catskillish for Temperate and something ski lodgeish for Arctic?
George wrote:You can have any tourist industry, but only one instance of each.
One of each is all that would be needed, as long as I could have each appear in the same game at the same time. I have a fun scenario use in mind for these.

Is there a list of all the tourist buildings available somewhere? Possibly with info how to construct them, as they're so tricky?
using the latest version, i always only get the "boring" 2x3 tiles tourist center, not the castle or the resort, even if i prepare the ground like displayed in some screenshots of you...

Well, yes, o/c. However, I was thinking about a better, direct method. Otherwise it´ll end up like the "fabric" (factory) issue.

I think that´s a major decision flaw. Why not allow
any ground tiles for these buildings (and supply appropriate foundations), in the same way the fruit orchard (or the forest) may be placed?

I did it first, but them removed due to animation coding difficulty (it is possible, but rather boring). I decided to document layout instead.

Would you write a wiki page about them for me? I can send you a savegame that demonstrates all the possibilities. I shall also answer you to your questions about any of them if you get some. I shall check the description later too. Deal?

George, Is the appearance of a particular structure (tourist center, resort, castle) random?
If so, perhaps it would be better if someway could be found so that each one could be selected on its own.

there are some issues with that
a) i'm an Open noob, and i reckon your savegame is for TTDPatch
b) i'm an Open noob so i can't guarantee it'll work, because there still may be bugs in the fresh OpenTTD newindustries implementation
c) i'm an Open noob, so i don't know where you'd want that wiki page.. somewhere in the TTDPatch wiki?
d) actually i have work to do right now
on another note, i managed to build the "tower" style tourist center now, so it was really only the right spot i have to click...

From what I´ve read so far, it seems that Wallyweb had tested some (or all?) of your ECS vectors for quite some time. In addition, he´s a native speaker, so wouldn´t it be a good idea to ask him if he´d like to write some form of "documentation" of those vectors?
regards
Michael

UhOh! I've been found out.
However I don't speak "native". I do speak English though.
George, I might be able to help with this.
First, could you PM to me a basic information framework that I can use for all of the industries?
When I have the framework, we can copy it for each industry and just fill in that industry's information. I will make sure that we have proper grammar and splelnig.
OOPS!

spelling.
Now, if you will excuse me, I must go and find something for Michael to do.

Strangely enough I had animal care in mind as well ... sending you to clean the pig pens in George's animal farms.

I was thinking of something like this:
http://wiki.ttdpatch.net/tiki-index.php ... ingGrounds
A framework would be something like:
[title]
[information type 1]
[information type 2]
[information type 3]
...
[information type x]

Thanks George. Where can I see it? (link)
Never Mind ... I found it in the wiki.
I'm looking at them now.
1. A correction:
original wrote:If there more tourists than rooms available, they become stored in the pool, and the acceptance is stopped unless pool becomes empty.
revision wrote:If there are more tourists than available rooms, the excess tourists are stored in a pool, and acceptance stops until the pool becomes empty.
2. An addition:
addition wrote:Due to the intricate nature of the tourist center graphics, some ground preparation must be done before building each tourist center. Please refer to the graphics provided with each layout description.
Everything else looks good
Well done.
