So i will.

French Train Set

This is a very old set as of what i know. In your NewGRF list, it will appear as "DB Set" and it will be said "Copyright 2003 by Michael Blunck". I don't know if he ever attempted at making a french trainset, and i'm afraid i don't know the real author's name, as i retrieved this on my hard-disk. In-game, some DB Set locomotives will appear, and the French Trainset ones will have different sprites, though having the same name as in the DB Set. Still, you can rename the locos ! And they work perfectly.
The French Set is a project by Snail. It is coded via Michael Blunck's m4nfo. It would seem that Snail based his work on what MB did with DB Set and had not yet updated his Action 8 and Action 14 texts. The French Set is very definitely a work in progress and not forgotten by time but by Snail's available time away from real life responsibilities.

No, no. Actually, i managed to retrieved the website with the download, and it was before the French Trainset topic was created.

Aha! Excellent find. It would seem that it is a French sprite subtitution of Michael Blunck's sets for TTDPatch.

Going back to that small airport, you may want to have a look at what I've posted in my Bits & Bobs topic: viewtopic.php?p=1200938#p1200938

DB Set, exactly. But loooooong ago, way more than 10 years. And full of bugs. I had really forgotten about it.

Yet Another Road and Rail Set (YARRS)

Made by buttercup, this is (IMO) one of the nicest road and rail replacement sets. Last GRF was posted in 2009, however buttercup was working on some finescale rails as recently as 2015 so maybe there will be an update someday?

Nah, it´s the DB Set code with some French guy replacing original DB set sprites by sprites of some French train vehicles.

Michael

UFOs

Created by Jekulkim, this old GRF replaces two of the futuristic aircraft with the UFOs from the original base set. A nice idea that could probably be done better, but it's all good fun, eh?

"Designed: 2012". That would have been cool.

Let's say, i'd have been even more pleased if those were vertical take-off/landing aircrafts. UFOs could land on helitowers.

Grass Conversion for Arctic Climate

An old favourite: temperate grass in arctic climate, by mtwist. For original DOS/WIN base sets only, OpenGFX users should use OpenGFX+ Landscape instead.

Cool old times 8)

I have seen such topics more than a few over the years, but... May I propose that maybe add grf or post links to the first post if possible by PaulC? If the thread goes to big (hard to find) then its possible to find links/grfs from the first post? But that means if PaulC one day decide to leave us, only moderator can change the first post.
