When I heard about this, I immediately facepalmed in preparation of what will occur when Hewhomustnotbenamed returns.

Makes it look like Cameron has done something when really he has done nothing.

Still, I doubt Jimmy Carr's tax avoidance is enough to pay for a 4 track HSR system to every town and village in the UK.

Complaining about tax evasion, legal or not, is a bit rich coming from Cameron and Obsborne.

Geo Ghost wrote:Alan seriously, I've gone away for a couple of days and come back to see this happening once again. Do you not get the idea? If you want to talk about your silly plans, make your own topic! Stop derailing other ones as I really do not want to come back and see this one has been locked as well because of you.
I was just thinking that about the London Bus Drivers thread.

I don't have much time to read posts on the forum any more.

It really "does my head in" to have to read the same posts over and over again arguing the same point of "how id do things".

Normally we wouldn't make such things public in such a way, but Alan has been banned for two weeks as stated would happen in this topic. Sadly, he has been unable to restrain from posting his mega-TOC plans and suchlike in existing topics, and various users have complained about it. As such, he has been given a third warning, which has resulted in a temporary ban.

Alan, if and when you return, please do remember what we've told you and act on it, as next time, the ban will be permanent.

So? Some discussions were quite interesting, if a little irritating at times too.

Wonder if he'll start asking people on his Twitter to hack this website too because he's banned.. heh :P

I agree on the condition that the moderators stop receiving complaints from people about Alan's replies. Logically, it's "not done" to complain about someone's actions if you shape the environment for some to react in that very way. So when Alan returns we also expect something from the other members.

The guy's a frigging idiot man. We gave him a chance to set it right, he went off again. He was banned.

If him being there meant you didn't want to feed him and thus didn't post in this sub-forum, then I hope Owen unbans him so you get lost again.

That did make me LOL.
(But that be cause I read it with an Ardal O'Hanlon style irish accent in my head!)

I think there is a bit of a line between "Feeding the Troll" and trying to engage someone in conversation.
And its subjective to who is reading it.

Point is, all his fantasies ideas would have been fine in their own thread where people could have joined in or ignored it, but as it was it was the same ideas disrupting everyone threads. I half feel like starting a "Chiltern Fantasies" thread so we can get to the bottom of how TfL having control of Chiltern would be a good idea!

Anyways back to Owens main point of this thread...
