if the latest stable (1.1.3) doesn't work, the latest nightly (r23xxx) should.

Very nice work! Your creativity within the limits given by the game/code is great. Would love to see this released on Bananas to give it a broader audience. I think the downloads shown in this thread do not do the NewGRF justice.

I want all of my projects to be under the GPLv2 licence, therefor I have relaunched this GRF with the appropriate licence and readme in a .ZIP and have also provided the .PCX and .NFO.

So no new features in the GRF ;-)

Wow. That's awesome.
Definitely an eye-candy item due to the expense of working with water, but it's still really cool.

Which object grf do you use to prevent the airports from being flooded? None of the grfs I have tried - including my own objects - have been able to resist the flooding. Could you (or someone) link to the exact grf you use to protect these airports?

The Seaplane Airport NewGRF include a NewObject tile named "Water Tile" that will block out sea water.

Indeed, there should be a single water tile in your new-object list.
And most importantly, one should first clear the water in a paused game and completely seal it off by surrounding it with the waterobject!!!
Those waterobjects should also be placed on cleared land, placing them on existing water will also flood the airport.
Also if the airport is placed next to land, It is very important that the slope is replaced with a fully straight tile (for example with placing a road on the slope)
One little breach in the seal and it will flood!!
See examples here: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... 33#p977065

Its an elaborate work-around, but it does the trick ;-)
