Well you managed to fit the little nose on the Riever just about. They did sort of have a little one, so did the Ford D series.

I've got to say though, your set is actually pretty good considering you've used standard scale pretty much. One of the best standard size road transport sets I've seen so far. Superb variety too. :D

Critiques

There are a couple of other things I could say about The length of some vehicles: The rigids should really be about 2/3 the length of the artics without a trailer. Yours would be about the right length if they were 7.5 tonners.

With trailer about the same length. I find this typical of most wagons I see. Guy next door has a scapper, a DAF 75 with a drawbar trailer, it's roughly the same length as our artic, around 52ft.

Other than that the Artic and the cars and vans are spot on. :)

Upon closer inspection, i realise that the nose is the right shape, its those damn massive mirrors typical of the optare which throws the sprite off on that scale. But they are there so that cant be helped ;)

The sprites i drew were actually for the XF 105 :P And should have higher speed and capacity. I think 44t and 70mph, Both of which are the UK limits for freight RVs.

I like that you've put the liveries in, but they don't match up too well to the cargoes, and food is omitted completely as a possible refit.

We are up against my programming skill here. I could swap some of the cargo livery combinations but bear in mind I'm at the level of one Cargo = 1 livery

Food is the default cargo - Sainburys is the default livery - I chose that one as its my favourite colour scheme

I'd never even considered that you may want to. Are you sure you can't refit back to it? What happens when you do?

How embarrassing

I'm really not sure how that happened - I suspect a bug in GRFmaker as I didn't change any code when I changed the file name. Anyway Ive posted a version that works on my PC (see first post)

Hehe nice one, Ultimately i'd quite like to be able to refit into all the liveries for food. Maybe were going about it the wrong way. Maybe we should release a seperate GRF of just the liveried vehicles, and have each livery as a different vehicle. Then we can refit say the Fowler Welch lorry to carry several different types of goods.

I think this not the best way to go round it at all. You want to have a user friendly interface for everyone to use.

Hmmm, Well wouldnt it be ridiculous to have 5000 refits for each livery and all its possible cargoes?

Random livery allocation for each refit.

Eg, refit it to food and it'll turn up randomly as Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco etc.

Plus I doubt you'll draw 5000 refits.

Is it possible using the new refit window (where you can refit seperate wagons seperately) so that you can refit the tractor to different liveries and the wagon to different cargoes?

Road vehicles have no wagons (sorry andythenorth :) ), any road vehicle with multiple part is an articulated vehicle. Refitting different parts of an articulated vehicle is not supported in any case (not even for trains). There is a discussion about why it is better to not allow refitting different parts of an articulated vehicle in the original patch thread.
