Except it's not an advertising poster, it's something knocked up by some kid on the internets ("dieselgtr").

Ah right, that's okay then :-) I thought it was the official thing. Obviously I need to pay attention to words, not just pictures.

That said, they kept the original livery for 20 years, so I can probably be forgiven for assuming a lack of artistic ability :-)

Ireland have some real weird ones. For instance some of these were made in Japan from a design by Bombardier, no relation to the one we had, but amazingly similar with a 150 door pattern and engine/transmission:

Then a later model from CAF in Spain saw these running about. Yet another 323 lookalike, although it's not as close in appearance as the former:

To be honest, we should have done some swapsies with the irish... those 323 lookalikes look better than ours!

Remember, the Irish aren't on standard gauge, they operate on a wider 1600mm track.

They look too pacer-like for me. Also, are they diesel? That one on the left doesn't seem to have any wires, or am I being completely blind?

Both are diesel powered. The EMUs in Dublin being of more obvious Japanese origin.

That wouldn't be correct use of an apostrophe either...

I was merely pointing out that he's referring to multiple Class 323s, not something that belongs to a Class 323.

It's not hard. Apostrophe = contraction of two words, or indicating possession. "Its" falls in the same band as "ours" or "theirs", it's not "our's" or "their's". Class 323s are no exceptions.

End of hungover rant.

I like the 455's. And the 317s. And the 319s. And ironically, the 323s!
