The errors in this case would be that the set would have to be reasonably similar to a BR set colouring, or in other words to make it fit in with other GRFs without it being a white elephant. :) And because I'm very new at this, I think it's only fair that I have the mistakes corrected and learned upon. :)

I believe you must be from the MSN Group as well. ;) How are they doing reliability wise these days? (although I've never seen one broken down before)

This is because you are working from the wrong pallette!! Notice how in your pallette sheet there are colours next to each other which appear the same.

i have attached a png of your latest work which is saved with the correct pallette: you now have many more shades to work with.

also you need to look at the sizing a bit, seems a bit out of proportion in some views

Hope this makes sense

On top of that, I don't think the T&M Metro is the full size, so have a look at the scale standard on the br forum.

Not quite the photo I needed to demonstrate, but close. It shows the large size difference between a 156 and a TWM. I shall use 12.5 coach stock sizes instead as that would be a better match overall.

I have noticed that a few sizes are still wrong on that, so that is being done with the recolouring now.

Ok quick and dirty grf, still some things to fix (eg. purchase screen) but just wanted to get something uploaded. Only have the standard orange coded at the moment, will do the others through the week.

They do look good.

Monaro doorslammer. You may want to get dos versions of .grfs instead of windows versions (or vice versa) as your roads are mucked up palette wise as is this piece of art (notice the dark roof of the train).

Now this has been drawn, perhaps I could include it in the UK Tram Set seeing as I no longer have to draw it!

I still had one other GRF on, which was a town replacement set I think. My bad, nothing too serious. :P

Um, I imagine dev|ant will have more developments on a dos version as well at the end of this week. I would like to see this in the BR Set, but because of it's nature of being non-BR, I reckon a standalone GRF for now should be the go. :)

EDIT: Another misunderstanding on my part (yes, I know, it's amateur hour  ). I may have fluffed up a download on occasion and have managed to leave the only broken one on there.

Up to you of course but, if I eventually get off my backside and finish the UK Tram Set, would you have any objections if I incorporated this into it?

Go for it. I would be delighted if you could. :)

This is great stuff! Well done!

But if theres he choice of tram or rail, i just couldn't decide what would fit the metro better. Its all heavy rail out towards Sunderland and utilises old railways in other parts, but more like light rail the way it diverts and tunnels under Gateshead and Newcastle.

The metro really is a funny case, its like light rail that uses normal platforms and rails but also an underground type thing. Hence why its just known as the metro...(or the meh'row when i lived up that way! People in the north east are the best i've ever met!)

But ot have it as part of the fantastic UK tram set rather than a stand alone would be brilliant too!

(It shouldn't have a whistle, it should say 'stand clear of the doors please!' in a geordie accent before it leaves a station!)

Oh, both I reckon. Give it a sense of occasion.

Gord, the best sound would be the driver cheerfully announcing "The next station is Byker". Nothing more fitting I believe. :P

I think it's quite similar to the Midland Metro and Manchester Metrolink (the latter more than the former) as these both run on ex-heavy rail routes. The Metrolink is high-floored like the Metrolink, and this too will be in Gavin's set. I just think it would fit the tram thing better. But those screenies are lubberly.

Really, really great work mate :D

As you can tell, I've fell in love with Badger's pics... :D

I still get a darker than usual roof on my game, but there are no other GRFs running. OTTD version 0.6.1, no savegame really as it's just testing.

And I thought pixels were easy. Evil more like.

The problem isn't other .grfs it's the .grf you have. I suspect you need a dos version of the metro .grf. If I could be bothered, I would convert it but unfortunately, other things take priority.
