If you haven't played a road only game, you really have to, you really get a better challenge IMHO because trucks don't bring in as much profits for how much the cost to run.
A fun thing to do with one way roads though is increase the distance between the industry and factory with the goods, but leave it short with an empty truck. If you don't understand, look below.

Except that Open measures the distance between stations, not the distance traveled, when determining payments.

Oops sorry. Once I tried to do a quick calculation in my head to see if you made more money the way I had it, but I guess my mental calculation was really off!
Still even with my dumb comment, the one way roads are good to prevent traffic jams or slowdowns with lots of trucks on the roads.

Yep, especially you can make nice much less prone to blocking drive through terminals. Although it would be cool IF vehicles were using both sides of terminal

Now it seems to me that its more effecient to make it both way, but it looks worse

This is wat I was looking for...
I have to say: the one-way-roads are fun and is should be very logical to let trucks or busses to load at both sides of the road at a 1way road. Or am I mistaken?
By the way, it is already happening... When a truck breaks down in or just in front of the DTRS, a overtaking truck will stop at the other side of the road and, believe it or not, it unloads (or loads) it's cargo. Mind that both trucks drove in the same direction from a 1way road
Owh, and why can't you mark 1 way roads with a sign-like 'sign' instead with the green arrows on the road. It should be nice to use a sign at the start of a 1 way roadblock and one at the end. (Something with trains?

)
But about the loading and unloading at both sides of the road in a DTRS: Is it implemented or just coincidence/bug when a vehicle breaks down?
Greetings.

If you want signs instead of ugly green arrows, use the North American Road Set. I have been since one-way roads were in the nightlys, and it really does look a lot nicer.

But the accidentaly loading and unloading on both sides of the road (in the same direction) after a 1 way street: Is it a feature or a Bug?
And Geoff, do you have a site for the North American Road Set? I've been looking around on the Wiki, but I could not realy find the one you ment.
*edit: the North American Road Set is found, but I still would like to hear if the loading thing is a bug or feature

I believe the loading thing was more of a bug, but I do think people are working on the driving on both sides of a one-way road.
