Just curious, but how did you produce that "draft"?

Because we´re allowed to post everything (inside the 8bpp limit o/c), usually the graphically most impressive one would win. O/c, "graphically impressive" hasn´t necissarily much to do with "beneficial in game", so my concern would be that we´d end up with "all castles" in the long run, hehe. 8)

Although, some very few of us are still sticking to "quaint simplicity", but that´s clearly a minority. :P

regards
Michael

Some quality artwork here, amazing, but you know what the best bit is? Someone voted for my tram! :D and no, it wasn't me ;)

This competition is going to be very beneficial to the community I feel because this way we will all draw better to get that much wanted gold paint brush :)

drawing massive landmarks does give a lot of oppurtunity to do something impressive and oz and darkwalkers drawings are superb. but it is nice to have something useful.... i like to think my station is something of a comprimise, and that is why you should all vote for me
the entrys are all really good- and i cant wwait for ameechers trams.

anyway- may the best man win.

Wow, some amazing entries there... I think my vote would go to Oz, but they're all really good. :)

Think I have to go for Oz on this one. Just because the construction stages are just fantastic!! Id keep demolishing and building it, just to see them! 8)

It was very, very hard to make the decision though :(

I was torn between Oz and Darkwalker, but that castle is so awesome in that forest hilly setting, so Darkwalker it is

I think you were unlucky to be posted directly after Oz, people saw it and just neglected all the other entries, that's my story too ;)

I like the car factory, it just looks a bit empty, you know, dead, needs some cars and vibrance, that's my only critique.

Edit: although, mine did appear before Oz, no excuse for me :P

Lifeblood: Don't get it wrong, your work is really very, very good. Its just that Oz has really pulled a great one out of the bag! I love your factory and I think it will look even better once it has a huge yard built round it and locos on the move! 8)

(If I had a 2nd vote, you'd get it :) )

Oh, I'm just having fun. It is a tough and good competition, and I realise that my screen is slightly boring. It'll be better next month.

It's actually a pendant that was given to me by an old girlfriend years ago. I owned three horses at the time, and she thought that it was fitting. I believe that it's based on an ancient Celtic carving found in Inverurie Scotland. I wore that pendant for many years. But, alas, the pendant and the horses are gone. I had to sell my horses before moving to Boston for graduate studies, since boarding fees are ridiculous in Massachusetts.X(

Thanks for all of the votes, everyone! And, lifeblood, I voted for you. :)

Cheers!

I voted for AndersI's trains. Of the 3 vehicle entries in the competition, those trains are the most beautifully drawn.

Daylight's station is stunning! It might just be me, but the only thread showcasing his work I can find only contains the small victorian station.
Do you have a coder daylight? Because otherwise a thread showcasing some of your seriously impressive work would help attract one. Or are you planning to do what MB used to and keep us all in suspense for months before releasing a stunning set full of surprises?
