Just to say I don't like the nuclear chain idea.

In reallity, nuclear power plants use like... 1 ton per year ? certainely less, of uranium.

That's why I can't imagine seeing mamouth trains comming every 2 days with hundreds of tons to each nuclear station.

Hah. Funny. In Britain they often have them hauled by double-headed trains (31s... Sometimes they get the 20s on them too). That's to haul at most two or three wagons. Often they're single wagons carrying a nuclear flask. I don't think I've ever seen a "long" nuclear flask train.

The production would be more akin to a bank, but you have to put it into context. Although, yes, Nuclear Reactors only use about 1 tonne per cycle, obvious that's not going to work very well in TTD, is it?

Well you can let the train haul nuclear stuff by 30 gram a wagon or something.. who says it has to be in tonnes?

I was thinking alongs those lines aswell, it does not have to be in tons which could help make the chain possible, but i do share the concerns that the uranium in a power plants afaik is there for a long time.

In Germany, the "Castor train" with radioactive waste returning from La Hague can be seen only once in a couple of years. At least it carries a couple of wagons.
