WinME? Have you tried compatibility modes - but then I don't think ME has any. And it should be fine in that OS anyway.

You might want to try the TTDPatch - see if that works. Rapidly running out of suggestions here.

Well yes, WinME has some compatibility mode but i never needed to activate this. And normally it is fine in that OS.

Actually i found out that MiniIN rev7243_miniin_132 of nov24 also works fine.
It was compiled by glx as i see.
So i can say that this rev works fine but still others don't

TTDPatch works fine also. Sometimes works much better but has worse graphic. (I like to play in 1024*768)

Maybe some of the devs has some better solution for that prob ;o)

Try creating an new OpenTTD folder, and extract the nightly files into it. Then put the data files into the data directory.

Please read the announcement on http://www.openttd.org

Until 0.5 you should keep using the last working nightly.

Go read DV's note on http://www.openttd.org.

EDIT: I somehow missed the fact that there were two pages.

I have the same problem with MiniIn and I have also WinME.

I have installed MSLU and unzipped MiniIn. The programm shows still the smae message: No available language packs.

Can anyone explain the solution again, please? Or gunniebear, if you have solved the problem, can you explain it me in German?
I haven't understood it yet

thanks,
Aylomen

Unless the MiniIN is compiled with MSVC2003 it will not work which I believe is also explained on the announcement page under the heading:
The compile farm that gives you all these new versions, cannot handle UNICODE applications (more specifically, applications that have a wide startup function are not supported by mingw). So no Win9x support.

Crud. My other computer uses 98, so I guess I can't play multiplayer against a friend.

Unless you compile it yourself with MSVC2003 (and link it to the correct libraries) or you are using a version released via sourceforge (i.e. stables and release candidates).
