Incidentally, I have taken my own site offline. This time permanently. Well, it was scheduled for August last year, so it cannot come as a very big surprise.

For those interested in what I have been up to: Civilization 4. No modding this time. It's good to let others do the dirty work for a change. ;-)

Sid Meyer's Railroads (name?) should be released later this year, so who knows, I might even return to trains.

me again i done all the stuff converted bmp to png but now i am at the end and when i want to save it as a .dat file it crashes it saves as an xml ok ut the dat crashes any reason why?

converted to the loco-palette or to png only? then they have probably the 256 windows-standard-colors. which loco doesn't use

Element variable?? oh an i managed to convert a loco but the multiple units crash the vechicle editor any tips???

Try to walk before you run. Try a single car or a locomotive before you go on to MU's, as doing a single locomotive is easier and there are less steps where you may go wrong.

As for your error, sounds like you have missed something out while making your xml in vc

yeh probably i converted a single diesel but it looks like its not sitting on the tracks exactly how do i sort this??

JHow about trying things damned? VC does almost everything for you even the Bogeypos, you just need to click the correct buttons.

hang on a min dont get nasty i was only askin a question?? well might aswell ask this 1 aswel then with the measuring tool u make the train fit in the box right!! but does it need to fit when the train spins for all the angles??
