yes, the breakdowns are annoying. locowrapper wont read them and locotool wont convert them. Has anyone removed the breakdowns/reliabillty?

If you have a hex editor, it should work to change byte 3 from 18h to 12h, then Locotool should accept it.

i am impressed! i wish i had indepth knowledge of computers like that.....
off topic: what is on byte 3? and why changing it works?

I don't know its meaning. All LoMo original .dat files used the value 11h, all those that were updated by the official patch used the value 12h. Locotool assumes the file is broken if it doesn't contain either of these values and rejects the file.

i had a look at the file with a hex editor and i have no idea how to fix it.? anyone here have the hexeditor and know how to fix it?
